I have 4 kids - 8yrs, almost 3yrs and the twins... I had never taken them out on my own before and DH is finally going back to work. Aside from the 8 (YES 8!) people that stopped to oogle over them, it was SOOO amazing! I could do that more often, for sure!! They stirred a bit and needed a bottle but I propped it up and they were good to go! They slept almost the whole time. I have a feeling they were silently giggling, like 'just wait till this broad gets us both all riled up' I didnt take the other two with me, cause Im trying to gradually work into it, but Im still scared! I have no idea where I will put my toddler, she likes to walk but has always had the option to ride in the stroller/basket...so I dunno.
But success at last!!! :panties: I feel like a real twin mom now! :woohoo:

Congratulations!!! I know its scary to take them out. I was freaked out and didn't know what to do at first too. I just have the twins so I have no idea how to take 4 kids out though. It took me months to get confident heheh. Congrat and you can do it!!!

Don't you just feel so much better being able to get out?!?! I remember that day and it was pure heaven!
My toddler likes to walk around now, but when the twins were first born, I would have to put him in the stroller just to contain him. So I would sling a baby to me to give room for my oldest in the stroller....might be something for you to do as well?

    Congrats!

Congrats!!! That's wonderful!! I have no idea how I would manage with 4!!!! My oldest is now pretty good at walking by himself but he figured out he could sit on the front of the jogger if he got tired, depending on the type of stroller you have this could be an option too.

BTW our babies were the same weights :)

Congratulations! I have been wondering how I am going to manage that!! Can you wear one baby in a sling or carrier so you will have space for your 3 yo in the stroller? That is what I am thinking of doing.......My DDs are 7, 6, 4, & 2 (will be almost 3 when the babies arrive)

    WHOOHOOO! Wtg! :)

MistyP - minus your youngest, those are about the ages my crew were when our Duo was born! :)

I would definitely put one in a carrier, one in the stroller and then you have the option for the next youngest to ride or walk. I would put one in the carrier so I could just get away with a single stroller in some places or else only one cart for grocery shopping.

It's a great feeling getting out and doing it all yourself. I am not the type to hang around the house too much. I ventured out with all five of mine fairly early. I have a Graco Double Quattro tour. What I do is put both the twindles in the back seat side by side and then my 2yr old in the front seat. Since the babies are little they sit comfortably like that. They are actually starting to get too big to do that but I don't do it too often. I also have a double snap & go and will use that and put my 2yr old in a moby wrap. Get used to the comments. Especially when you start taking them all out together. People don't know how to filter what comes out of your mouth.

Isn't it just liberating?!?! :woo: Good for you mama!!! Could the 8 year old help out with the three year old? Like say you went to Target-could he/she push the toddler in the carriage and you push the twins in the stroller? Otherwise, I would put the twins in the stroller, have the toddler walk, and then if the toddler started to fuss, etc, I would make sure I brought an infant carrier with me, and put a baby in there and then put the toddler in the stroller. But I just realized that you would have the infant seat in the stroller... So, I would probably always plan on carrying one twin, and the toddler/twin in the stroller.

When I had my daughter, my boys were 19 months old. So I had them in the stroller and put her in the baby bjorn.

Yeah, I took mine out all the time. It was a necessity as DH worked 12 hr days-5 days a week. Just don't be upset the first time you avhe to head home early for a bad day. It gets easier. Good for you. I loved my sling for me DD who always wanted to be held and I didn't even have any more. Soon I will be in your boat with 4 but the oldest will be 3 1/2. That will be quite the trip in public. I still get the twin comments at past 3, I can't imagine with 2 sets.
