I had to go to the pharmacy to pickup Roe's prevacid. When I got back and got the boys upstairs in their car seats, they were both asleep. So I carried them up another flight of stairs to the bedroom, took them out of their carseats, and laid them in the crib.

Big mistake. I should have left them in their car seats, because now they are wide awake and fussy!! I am hoping Joel will fall asleep in the bouncy seat--it looks like he's headed that way--but Roe is just sitting in the boppy giving me the evil eye. At least he's not crying anymore....

well, back to having a staring contest with two overtired babies. I just came in here to grabmy coffee and had to share my misadventure with y'all...

I've done that so many times! I forget that sometimes it's best just to leave well enough alone. Last week I was expecting a friend and finally gotten one baby down in the nursery. The other one fell asleep in the living room swing. I had the bright idea to move her to her crib and she was wide awake. I brought her back to the swing where she fell asleep again. Instead of learning my lesson, I moved her yet again only for her to be wide awake. Since then, I figure once they fall asleep somewhere (swing, car seat, etc.), they're staying there! Sorry nap time wasn't the best today. :)

ahhhh they are finally both asleep. The nap that should have started two hours ago...

Now... I wonder how I'll pay for this at bed time?

I can't tell you how many times I've taken the long way home, like 45 min. longer, just to keep them asleep. I feel your pain!! :hug99:

I feel your pain too! We had NO naps today because of an assembly at my son's school. This afternoon was  !! Tomorrow will be better.... :hug99:

well so far, bedtime hasn't been too bad. Thank goodness! We've trekked up the stairs a few times to give them their pacis back after they drop them, but that's every night!

Ahh, yes. With my older one, there were countless times that I'd leave her sleeping in the car in the garage (in good weather, of course) -- with car door open, and door from the garage to the house open....and then I'd sit in the kitchen just inside, waiting for her to finish napping, LOL. Sometimes she'd transition just fine to the crib, and other times it was a disaster.

I haven't had to do that much with the little ones, because I barely leave the house these days. And, I schedule everything around their naptimes!
