Before finding out we where having twins, my DH and I had come up with David Luel (grandpa's names) for a boy and Evangeline Isabella if she was a girl. Now having TWO girls on the way changes things! It took us FOREVER to come up with the girl name, so we agreed to simply split the girl name for two! Now we're at ANOTHER issue: Middle names for them. I suggested Evangeline Lilly and Isabella Rose, and he liked rose... but I only liked it for the twin like similarity.

So I am desperately turning to you ladies. Even though I have a little time, I really want to get names figured out! Any ideas for Evangeline and Isabella? I kinda like the whole similarity thing, but there doesn't seems to be to many pairs like that. Thanks for any and all ideas!! Oh, and our last name is Gerecke (pronounced: "Ger-reh-kee") if it helps.

Lily & Rose get my vote! With multi-syllabic first and last names I think you need something short in the middle and those two names are brief but quite nice. Rose is my middle name and I adore it - when I use it in combination with my first name I feel like a gypsy or a southern belle! I really wanted to use it for one of my twin girls' middle names but felt too narcissistic like I would be naming her after myself!

With long first names I like short middle names.

As for creating a twin connection you can go to one of those baby name sites that let you search by meaning, put in a meaning you like and get two names with the same meaning.
Or you can take two names from a class

Flowers like you have already thought of.
Lily, Rose, Violet, Daisy, Lilac, Viola

    Gems
Ruby, Jade, Amber, Crsytal, Saphire, Opal

    Atributes
Grace, Faith, Joy, Hope, Peace or Paz, Luz, Constince, Charity, Felicity

Herbs and Nature (these tend to be longer though)
Rosemary, Sage, Lavender, Juniper, Melissa, Willow, Summer, Dawn.

Or there are a few names that are made up of different combinations of the same letters. Like
    Jean and Jane,

I like the names fine, but Evangeline Lilly is an actress on Lost. It sounds like you are naming your daughter after her. Good name, but just wanted to be sure you are aware of the association!

Cute names and I like the names Rose and Lily. I'm partial, but I like rhyming middle names (that's what we did). I agree with the short middle names. My nieces name is Isabella and her middle name is Mackenzie. That's a mouthful for her and everyone else, but it's cute and it fits her.

    Some combos I like:

    Isabella Lee
    Evangeline Dee

    Isabella Jae
    Evangeline Mae

    Isabella Fawn
    Evangeline Dawn

    Also:

    Isabella Sage
    Evangeline Rose

    Isabella Faith
    Evangeline Hope

Best wishes for a happy, healthy twin pregnancy and beyond!! :D :D

I agree with haing short middle names. But I would probably also use nicknames (maybe Lina and Bella). For babies, my mom used to say, "Her name is longer than she is!" :)
    Evangeline Kay
    Evangeline Joy
    Evangeline Cara
    Evangeline Tara
    Evangeline Robin

    Isabella Rose I like
    Isabella Grace
    Isabella Mary
    Isabella Dawn
