I have been home 4 of the 5 days this week with my twins--the first two days, they were sick (as was I) with the flu, Wednesday I went to work, Thursday is my typical day home with them, and now today my nanny is sick. I have to say...I don't know how you do it every day, of every week! I think I am losing my mind--feel like I am going stir crazy here! You have the toughest job in the entire world and all deserve a big fat day at the spa!

As someone who sometimes questions whether I am good at this, I appreciate your comments! (I only became a SAHM recently, so I have my moments where I wonder if I did the right thing)

Thanks, but I think working moms have it hard too. Trying to find time to spend with the kids once you get home with all the other responsibilites of the day is very hard too. We all need a group :hug99:

Ditto! I think we all need a hand! :drinks:

I work part time and the days I do go to work (T/Th) I wonder all the time, how do people do this?!? Obviously we all do what we need to do, but I think I'd go insane trying to work full time and still get everything done! ...I can't now!

And then there are the days I can't wait to get to work to relax!

oh, you and me both.... Thanks to the OP! :FIFblush: I think it's just being a twin mom in general that's difficult, there's pros and cons to staying at home and working, but no matter what you do- it's hard work!!!

And I also second the day the day at the spa! :D

I told my man, what I want for Christmas is a big fat getaway at a spa. Facial, massage, mani, pedi, the whole works. Pamper the heck out of me!

I agree, we ALL have it rough no matter what it is we do. I work 4 times a week (one 6-10pm, one 8-2am, then Saturdays and Sundays) and stay home with them all week, and its rough! I can't imagine how hard it must be to work a long day, then come home and have to help with dinner, tubtime, and all that jazz, plus nighttime wakings ... we are all awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! Want to bring your babies over and watch my babies while I take the day off? :rotflmbo:

Seriously though, thanks! Though personally I'd find it a lot harder if I also had a job outside the house. I don't know how you moms with jobs outside the house do it, and you deserve that day at the spa! :)

I agree. Having been on both sides of this, I can honestly say I don't know which is harder. They are just different.

Ditto that! Every time I'm home alone with my girls, I think "I could not do this every day!" (But I can also understand SAHMs who think being a WOHM would be harder -- so I guess we should all just be grateful if we're in the position we want to be in!)

But knorts, remember that it is always harder when they're sick. If you were a SAHM, presumably they (and you) wouldn't be sick all the time. ;) Whenever mine are sick and home from daycare, I feel like I'm going to lose my mind, and I have to remind myself of how much better it is when they're healthy.

Wow, thank you so much for saying that. I knew being at home with two babies was going to be busy but I can honestly say I had NO IDEA whatsoever exactly how busy I was going to be. I love my babies so much but some days they suck the life right out of me. Caring for babies is a lot of work and all of the extras (reflux, torticollis, plagio, helmets, colds, etc.) make it crazy at times!

But I have to say that I think it must be really hard to be a working mom. I do sometimes get jealous that my husband speaks to adults all day and goes out for lunch and uses his brain for problem solving...but I see how hard it is to cram a day's worth of Q.T. into a few hours.

I hear that. I can't imagine having to do it all. Hats off to all our wonderful twins mommies.... No matter how you do it!

I agree.. I only worked outside the home for about 17 months and then it was just two days a week! I don't know how you FT working mom's do it! :bow2: There are definitely two sides to the coin!
