I thought we'd be dealing with this in middle school...

Just had to ahre this! My girls recently started a new preschool and on their second day Brynne told her teacher that she was Maya! The teacher had no idea, and had no reason not to believe her, so she went with it. A little while later the teacher called Brynne over, but called her Maya. So, a different teacher said, "No, that's not Maya, that's Brynne. Their Mom told me that Brynne was wearing a green shirt and Maya a white shirt.". They asked Brynne again and she said she was Maya. Then they asked Maya and she said she was Maya. They asked Brynne again, and again she still said that she was Maya! They were so confused! Finally, Brynne admitted that she wasn't Maya. The teachers couldn't wait to tell me when I got there- they thought it was hysterical! All I could do is roll my eyes! They figured this "trick" out early on and they think that it's the funniest thing ever. However, I've always been right there to set the record straight (I hardly every mistake one for the other). This is the first time they tried this when I wasn't there, and I know it won't be the last! Little devils! :icon_biggrin: Oh, well, just one of the perks of being a twin!

:acute: I'm sorry, but that is really cute! :D

My girls look nothing alike, so I can't really relate. But I know its got to be nerve-wracking for you. Maybe you could give them each a "special" piece of jewelry that will identify them to teachers. Just make sure the teachers never say "I know you're Maya because you're necklace has a star" or something like that. They'd have to agree to keep the secret to themselves. :D

    Just a thought.

 Too cute! J&Z are fraternal. So I never think there will be confusion... but somehow people get confused anyways. and even though they are not even 3YO, they too play the name game.
