I think they are starting to know me

I've noticed that my babies are turning their heads to the sound of my voice. Then this morning I was washing Amelia's face and getting her dressed for the day and Lily was in her bouncy seat, fussing. So as soon as I finished with Amelia I went over to Lily and said "What's wrong?" and hadn't even touched her yet and she immediately stopped fussing and got a little grin on her face! Could it be that she is starting to know who I am?!? I think all this hard work will finally feel like it's paying off once I can get some smiles from these girls!

 

Isnt it the most wonderful feeling... of course they now you...by your smell and voice....

I remember the first time my boys smiled at me-- magical!! I agree-- your girls do know you!

 

Awww! It makes all the hard work of those first couple of months worth it the first time they smile at you. But they've known you all along.. they recognize your voice and your smell. But now they are starting to be able to communicate that they know you.

 

Of course they know you. My DH always comments on how they turn their head when I talk if he's holding them. It makes me feel soooo good!!

Oh they definitely know you. My twins watch daddy and there eyes follow him as he moves. They adore their big brother and the sound of his voice makes his little sister stop crying and they are only 3 weeks old.

 

Yup, they know you and have known you for a long time. They are just now starting to put it all together. It just gets better from here!
