I think they are saying "I love you"

They are talking a lot now, but just single words for the most part, except for "more" anything, but usually that's some half sign/half talk combo done urgently to get another banana or animal cracker! The past few days, DS has been coming over to me and saying "Iyayoo" and giving me big hugs! At first I thought it was a mix of hi and you, but then I saw that he only does it to DH and I when he's in a snuggly mood. Now DD started saying it, too, at first just copying DS, but now she's following it with a hug, too. Could they really be trying to say "I love you" or is that just crazy? We say it enough to them, that's for sure! I'm not sure if it's for real, but I'll take it! DS even bats his little eye lashes at you when he says it

Oh, how sweet! We're very big on "I love you" in my family, so that would bring me to tears!

I think its totally possible, especially if that is something they see in their home a lot.

That's so sweet. And your instinct is probably right. Whenever I'm unsure if they're saying a new word or phrase I just ask them to say it and see if it sounds the same. If you say "can you say I love you?" will they try to repeat it? maybe it will come out the same way and you'll have your answer.

I totally think they're saying "I love you". They mimic what you say, and you must say "I love you" to them a lot.
