i know as an adult, the first thing i do is take a zicam at the first sneeze, sniffle, etc. i really think one of my LO's is just about to come down with something. he's been coughing since this morning and it's followed by sneezing. BEFORE it becomes a full-blown cold and his brother catches it...is there ANYTHING i can do to catch it now?

I don't think there's much you can do. Some people say saline nasal spray can help prevent colds because it flushes out the nasal passages. (Dr. Oz has talked about it on his show). If one is already looking sick, the other has probably already been exposed. I hope they don't get sick. Colds are no fun!

for you I would start taking Zinc and Vitamin C. both of those have really helped me to not get sick. along the same lines I wonder if a children's version of those would be useful? I know Hylands Teething Tablets have another product that's a Cold buster... can't remember the name, but it has Vit. C in it... it says to give a couple every 2 hrs for a bit then spread them out... might be worth a shot... so sorry! colds always last 10-14 days in our house from the first sign to the last of the snotty noses! icky!
