I swear I pull out a WAD of hair every single morning. Then when I think there's no more hair that could possibly come out I leave trails of it all over the house. I'm starting to feel like a very large cat! When will this end?

You should hear from other Moms on this topic, and my answer is on the long side of how long it lasts......about nine months. I've read other responses on this topic and the general time it lasts is like 3-7 months. I swear I thought I'd be bald too!!! [IMG]

This site explains why this happens.

This happened to me too. I think it slowed down when the girls were about 7 months old, but it's just recently that I feel like the amount of hair I leave in my brush and the shower is back to normal. I felt like a chemotherapy patient! And now not only is my hair thinner than before I was pregnant, but it's also not as curly and drier! I want to get pregnant again just so I can have a good hair day again!

I lost tons too. The funny thing is now it is starting to grow back and my bangs look like a five year old got ahold of some scissors and chopped it. Quite a pretty site. Now my DS is not helping things either because he LOVES to pull my hair. OUCH!

I know how you feel - I think that I am getting my fathers hair-line. It didn't start for me till about 4 months. I wish the hair on my legs would fall out - now that would be convenient!

Oh me too! It's bad enough in the shower...looking at the clumps of hair in the drain, but then BOTH my kids have ripped hair out of my head all the way along my neck line - ear to ear...I will be amazed if my hair recovers from all of this!

every day in the shower i pull out clumps....i clog up the drain all the time!! Then when I brush it and blow dry it, even more comes out. Then it keeps coming out throughout the day. My girls are 6 1/2 months old.....when will this stop????? I am so scared I am going to be bald.....

I'm still shedding! I actually had a bald spot on the side of my head for awhile. [IMG]

I know - it's horrible. I just had my haircut today, and my hairdresser commented on all the hair she was pulling off. I made her swear she would tell me if I need to start using women's Rogaine!

Btw, I love your girls' names!
