    My son turned 1 this month, my daughter is turning 3 next month. My partner and I had an accident one night so I took the plan b. No big deal right? Whatever, it did not work. Not only did it not work but now Im 10 weeks along with twins! We are getting excited and we did want more (just not for another year or so) but my goodness! So, now there will be 4 little joys under the age of 3 in my home. I love being a mom. We have a great family. But what on earth am i going to do! Not only that, but the same time Im due, my partner is schedual to leave for 6 months. Please, if any of you have idease, tips, funny stories (cause I could use a funny story) or anything helpfull.....

    Hang in there! When my twins were born, I had 4 ages 3 & under too, (and 3 ages 2 & under and 5 ages 5 & under. LOL) The great thing is you already have two children, so you have some experience and you know how to handle that baby stage -- you know the difference between a sad cry/hungry cry/tired cry; you know what teething is like, you know how important naps are, etc. Adding two more will be challenging, but you can do it!

    Be sure and prepare in advance and get all the help you can, particularly if your spouse is going to be gone for those first 6 months! Even just making sure someone is there a couple times a week so you can get a nap will make such a difference.

    Good luck!

    [SIZE=10pt]Congratulations on your expecting bundles!

    I can imagine that it seems overwhelming, but as pp said ~ you have experience with babies. I completely agree about getting any and all help set up for when your partner leaves. It will be good for you, the babies and your other two children as well.

    This is a great site to get advice, support, or just to vent. Either we've BTDT or are going through it right now. We're here for you!

    April :)

    I currently have 3 under 2yrs. I have a son who is 21mths and my twins are 2mths. I found out I was preggo when my son was only 10mts (accident). I went in for the ultrasound & it was twins I nearly died. My DH is in the air force so we have no family near us. It is super hard to deal with all 3 of them but now that I have the girls I wouldn't want it any other way. I don't even know how many diapers I go through in a day, I swear all I do is change shi*** diapers all day! It can be done & you just have to keep laughing or you'll break down and go crazy! I just keep thinking of the days when they'll all have each other to play with & I can finally get some sleep. Good luck with your pregnancy & keep in touch if you have any other questions....

    Wow! Good luck to you! My older two are just-turned 4 and 2.5, so I will have it a little easier. The one good thing I can think of is that *every* new milestone of the older two is such a big help at this stage. Being able to handle going up and down stairs alone, getting a bowl out of the cupboard, whatever. I do hope you can find some people to help--I don't know how I'd do it otherwise. My DH is around, but has physical limitations so he can't always help much.

    Oh! I understand what you're going through! I have 3 under 4 years and will have 5 in 5 years. The thought is very scary, but we have decided to stay positive. The next few years will be though, but hopefully we'll all be fine. Good luck! :)

    When my twins were born I had a 5 yr old, 3 yr old, 2 yr old, and then them. So, yep, 4 3 and under. 5 5 and under. It actually worked out just fine. Each one of my kids liked to help. Even the 2 year old can fetch diapers and paci's and other things. There are times it gets difficult (as it is even when you have just one baby), but it is doable and fun.

    Congratulations on the twins!

    You will be just fine!! the important things will fall into place - and the things that aren't important can wait! maybe your partner will be around long enough to help you get started in some kind of routine??
    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
