It started when he was 18 months or so, he would randomly get his hand or finger stuck somewhere. Well yep he's that kid  He is so good at getting his hand or foot stuck in something!! :grr: It drives me crazy! I know the stuck cry and I come running and I can honestly say I don't think he does it on purpose. Well maybe a little but not all the time :fool: The worst so far was him getting his entire hand and wrist stuck through the door jam of an open door. I honestly thought we were going to have to take the door off. But after some soap and wiggling we finally freed the hand. LOL. Just the other day he got his arm stuck in the safety gate, he was climbing over it and stuck his arm through the other side. I can't count how many times I've had to take apart the ball popper thing because he sticks his entire arm in it and can't get it out. He's gotten his finger stuck in the seatbelt thing at Sams Club. It's just a matter of time before he gets his head stuck in something huh?! Does anyone else have "that kid"
Awww I know the stuck cry too. Meara got herself stuck IN the deck. DH moved a plank to get the leaves from between the deck and the house and she wriggled her little body in there and got stuck. Thankfully DH was home because I was freaking out. Oh and I still tease my brother about the time he got his head stuck in a tree at preschool! He is 27 and does not appreciate that I still bring it up
Ian managed to get his body stuck between the foot rest and the plate on the foot rest part of the recliner...my dad had to come with the drill and unscrew the foot rest to get him out!
Royce yells, "STUCK" all the time. I felt bad this morning, he had his thumb stuck in a toy and I tried to pull it away from him while yanking on his thumb meanly. Ooopsie.
I don't really have that kid, but your post made me laugh. Amy does tend to get stuck, but it's usually getting tangled in her clothes while trying to get them off. Or else she is messing around on her bed and winds up falling off headfirst, then can't figure out how to get the bottom half of her body down. (Yes, still, at age 4.)
My DD tells me she is stuck when she is not and when she is. So I have to go running to the stuck cry no matter what. She has gotten stuck before (finger in the door, arm inbetween crib slats, in the toy box...etc).
Well, I have the kid who gets his head stuck in everything (under the coffee table, between the headboard of our bed and the wall and I am forever having a hard time getting the neck of his shirt over his head). He's got a big noggin  what can I say?
 I don't have that kid, but your description was cute. Hopefully he learns to avoid getting stuck soon!
Oh goodness! Your post made me smile and brought back memories. One of my boys was the same way, but he's outgrown it (today is his 4th birthday). The best "stuck" place for him was on a family trip to Seattle. We went to some aquarium or zoo and were watching some type of large aquatic animal swimming around. He stuck his hand through the metal fence and was stuck. I didn't know it until I was trying to get him to come with me when it was time to leave. I seriously thought we were going to have to cut him out, and the sad things was that I wasn't surprised at all that it happened. To him. Again. It's always nice to hear stories from other mom's of "that kid".
I got a good chuckle out of this Brigette! My dad tought my kids to say "stuck like chuck!" it's funny! now they say it when they are in their car seats and behind a baby gate!
We hear "I tuck" quite often at our house. Today at naptime (if you can call it that) Mason managed to squirm between the crib and wall. Of course he got "Tuck". I still have no idea how he managed to get there.
Aiden went BIG the first time he truly got stuck & I think it's made him more hesitant to try to get stuck anywhere else. And, since Conner witnessed it, I think he's fairly timid, too. 2 summers ago, while my DH was mowing the grass, we were playing on the deck. It wasn't until my husband stopped the mower that I heard Aiden screaming. His head was stuck between the rails of deck! Here I thought he was just 'watching' daddy behind me when he had wedged his head in there & gotten stuck! He was FREAKING out! He kept pleading for help & crying. We tried & tried to unwedge him but had no clue how we were gonna get him out. Every time we tried, his ears would get pulled or his head would scrape against the wood; it was awful. As DH went to get the saw, I climbed down so I could be face to face with him while daddy sawed him out. Somewhere during our switch, he got himself free! We're still clueless how! Behind his ears were red & scraped & bruised . For the LONGEST time after that, he'd point to the deck & tell us all about how he got his head stuck! We did some research & our deck is no longer to code (it was when it was built 4 years prior). Now I closely watch all our friends kids, since I know how easily little noggins can get stuck in there! SCARY!
