Last Saturday I was sitting on the couch and my one son brings me his play phone. He kept putting it up to my ear and after the 100th time, I told him no more. He was maybe 6" away from me and took the phone and threw it. It hit me right above my lip and the area immediatly swelled up. A week later it's still swollen.

This morning Jake wanted his cookie monster stuffed animal out of his crib. As he was pulling it out, cookie monster's plastic eyes hit me on the forehead and I have a nice size bump.

Right before we were to go out, I decided to change their diapers. I left their shoes on and Jake did not want his changed and kicked me right in the nose.

Maybe I should buy a helmet and wear it around the house to prevent these things from happening.

I hear you... I have a son that likes throwing things on your feet, and DD, who's a kicker, has been in casts for 5 weeks now... We just call her legs 'clubs' now.

So true! I got bonked in the head by DS and then 5 minutes later bonked on the nose by DD. I swore I saw stars and birdies flying around! 2 year olds can really hurt!

My bumps and bruises usually happen on my feet and legs. Hang in there Mama!

 We are still in the stage of throwing our heads when we don't get our way. For the most part, I have learned which way to dodge, but sometimes, I go the wrong way. I have had many busted lips because of them. :aggressive:

Starting around the time my kids could stand up by themselves, I developed a habit of instinctively protecting my face. It's only now (especially with Amy) that I will do something like bend down and kiss her head without putting my hands firmly on her shoulders first. She rarely does it with intention to harm (now), but her movements are still fast & unpredictable. She kicked DH right in the jaw while he was trying to help her put on her pants the other day.
