I really want to be done with formula...

The girls are going to be 1 on Saturday. I really want to be finishing up with the formula. Gretchyn takes whole milk just fine. But Geneva can't tolerate it. We have only tried a couple times with her and every time she has thrown it right back up. She seems to like the taste--she just can't handle it. Well, I haven't been giving the whole milk to Gretchyn much because the girls think it is great to pass their bottles back and forth and I can't have Geneva getting Gretchyn's bottle. Is there an alternative to whole milk that I can give to Geneva? And how do I give the whole milk to Gretchyn without Geneva getting ahold of it?

Any advice would be great! TIA! :)

I mixed the boys formula, with milk in the beginning. I also warmed it so it was room temp. Once they seemed to like the mixture, I would put less and less formula in, over a few weeks. You should be able to get her off it within a couple weeks Rhonda!

I can't believe they are one already! Congrats you made it!

It's not that she won't drink it--it makes her sick. :(

    Soy?

I was hoping to try something other than soy. It is so stinkin' expensive. We had to do soy with DS at first and I hated spending so much on it. ;)

    Still cheaper than formula, though...

You can buy 2 of the Silk brand vanilla soy at Sams club and I think it is just a little more than the cost as milk these days...
You could try the lactose sensitive milk and see if she is ok with that, but I don't know about the cost compared to soy or reg whole milk...

We tried whole, then soy, then ended up on Rice Milk...we are still there.
