I now have all three kids in here.

    I am feeling a little sad that my son is now 5 and starting kindergarten next month. My baby isn't a baby any more.

    I am also very frustrated that my plans for today are now no more all because of my selfish bil and sil. I asked that I not watch their kids today since it's my sons birthday and once again what I ask doesn't matter and I get them anyway. Fine but then told her that I wanted to go out to eat to celebrate his birthday which we do with all the kids and she said fine that my bil will just pick them up early. Now my husband has to work late (he works for the same bil that was supposed to pick kids up early) so no more going out to eat and now my kids are having left overs since I had nothing else planned for today and it was a last minute change up or I could of planned it a little better. I am hoping that we might be able to go out to Dairy Queen tonight instead just for something special for him on his day. I know he doesn't really care if it's on his day or not but it means a lot to me that we do something on his day if we can. Sorry for my little mini rant, I am very frustrated with them and can't say anything since it's my dh's brother. Also I have said something before and it went no where.

    But I am wishing my son a happy birthday and he's had a pretty fun day even though it's been raining and we are stuck in our house with 5 kids and a dog that refuses to pee outside on a rainy day so I have to clean up after her.

    Becky, I can't believe they dropped the kids off after you asked that they give you the day!? Wow. That's nervy. Sorry you are dealing with that and hope you made it out for an ice cream!!

    Yes we got ice cream and they kids loved it. It was a great end to a not so great day. I don't think my son cared about not going out to eat, he was very happy about getting his ice cream from Dairy Queen. He is a very easy going child anyway and just goes with the flow of things.
