DH really likes the name Juliana (I do too)-but to go with the theme of all the other kids I need to spell it with a "G". I'm just not quite sure how to do that without everyone distroying how to say her name. DH says to just spell it Guliana but I think everyone will try to say goo-liana. So, if we were to decide on this name for sure I need to decide how I would want to spell it. Help please! ;) Thanks. :)

What about Giuliana? (Although that looks an awful lot like a presidential candidates last name)

I searched and searched and searched, boy is that a hard one to spell. I found this one one website Giulianna or Giuliana

Sorry I am not more help. Have you thought about the name Gillian, that would go well with the other names you have.

    Good luck.

I wouldn't think anyone would think to pronounce it Goo-liana. Another G name I like is Gilian. Brooke has a Gilian in her class and Morgan has a Jillian in her class. Both pronounced the same way, but I love it spelled with a G.

Juliana spelled like: Giulianna or Giuliana would not be confusing to pronounce

In the Italian language the "J" is often spelled with a "G"

    Like: GIULIA (Julia) GIULIANA (Juliana)

I had a girl in my class in middle school who spelled her name Giulia and pronounced it Julia. Teachers and subs were forever pronouncing it wrong, but once she told them how it was pronounced, it wasn't a problem. So, it is just up to you if you don't mind her having to correct people on how to pronounce her name when they meet her.

The name is beautiful and if I saw it spelled the way you had it with a G, I would pronouce it Juliana. It didn't seem confusing to me. Another G name I like is Gretchen.

That's one of the twins-just spelled Gretchyn. :D

Thank you for all the suggestions. I think if we end up using the name we will spell it Giuliana.

I thought you'd think so. :) When DH suggested it-I thought "That name seems really familiar" and then I came on here the next day and was reading one of your posts and was like "Duh!" lol

That's an awful lot like Rudy Giuliani (former mayor of NYC!) I doubt anyone would mispronounce it as goo-liani.
