I need to VENT!

I am sorry I have two good reasons to be mad at the moment and this one involves me.

We have broke the news to some of our family whats going on with our Nathan and that we will know for sure on Friday. My sister in law goes "Well if he has this, you will abort the pregnancy right?" I said excuse me?! I am not going to kill a baby just because of something I can't control! I thought of abortion one time, and that was my first pregnancy and that was because it was a total shock.

Aborting this pregnancy entirely will be taking two lives and I am not going to do that, even if it was just one baby, I wouldn't do it. We don't know the diagnosis for sure, but I didn't need to hear that from my family.

Sorry I just had to vent.

You have been in my thoughts, especially yesterday when we went to the peri. I'm so sorry your SIL is suffering of foot-in-mouth. I'm sure she'll realize someday what a HURTFUL thing that was to say. I think you are being amazingly tough and strong. You obviously love your children. Keep being the wonderful woman you are!

Nicole...im very sorry to hear about what you are going through. you are in my prayers!

 

That was very insensitive of her to ASSUME that you would do what 'she' might do. Everyone feels differently about these things, and that was very insensitive of her to say.

IMO at MOST it might have been Ok for her to ask what you were planning to do depending on the results. What she did, though probably not intentional, is just cruel.
