First, I want to introduce myself since I don't usually post in The First Year board. I have F twin boys Collin and Dillan who were born October 15, 2005. A year and 8 days later (Oct 23, 2006) we were blessed with a daughter named Hannah Faith. I usually post in the 1-5 board since my "baby" is a singleton and the newborn stage is still very fresh to me since my twins were there not too long ago.

    Well, my problem is...
I have no clue what to get my daughter for her first birthday. She already plays with all the toys the twins got for their first birthday, which include leap frog activity table, riding toys, lawn mower, tons of Little People toys, pianos, mega blocks and ect. All the "normal" first birthday toys she already has due to her being so close in age to her brothers. I'm at a loss on what to get her. I've already bought her some clothes, but she needs some girly toys around here. She has a few baby dolls already so I really don't want to get her anymore. My mom has already bought her the Little people doll house for her birthday. The only thing I have bought toy wise so far is this http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?p...=2265214&cp, which is an Elmo purse. Our theme is Seasame Street this year and all three kids will be sharing one party.

There are a few people that ask me every birthday and Christmas what to get the kids and want a specific item named. My parents already have a college fund set up for them. I do tell some family members who ask to add to that, but there are some family members that insist on buying toys only. I need to come up with a list soon since they have already been asking. Please help me think of some things. Thank you :)

Amber! I can't believe that Hannah is almost one!

What about getting her a little crib for her babies, or a high chair? A kitchen set? She's a little young to get the full benefit from those toys, but at least you will have them for later in the year! I know that Emma(14 months) likes to play with "babies", "feed" them bottles, and put(throw!) them in the doll crib! I think she would love a little kitchen set too to put stuff in and take it out.

I have thought about getting her a kitchen, but didn't know if she was too young and I don't want her brothers taking it over. I know that sounds mean, but geez the girl can't have play with anything without them trying to take over. lol Or maybe I should get one so the boys can enjoy it now and she can enjoy it later. Double benefit :p

I can't believe she is almost one either. It makes me miss the innocent new born stage and want another. As if 3 in 1 year wasn't enough!?! Luckily for DH, I have a IUD and that won't be happening.

Do you have the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Learning Home? This was our boys favorite first birthday toy. I am also buying it for my niece's first birthday next week. (Edited to add...) If you're interested in this - the cheapest price I've seen is $65 at Toys R Us - Amazon.com sells it for $130 which is crazy.

Also recommend the Bounce and Spin Zebra and Baby Einstein flash cards. Mine love these too.

Thank you both!! I just come up with something by combining both of your responses: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=234...&pcat=bulnl</a>. I think they will all love it. I'll just have to make sure Hannah gets some play time in and the boys don't take it over.

I love the Bounce and Spin Zebra; I think it's adorable, but the boys are not allowed within 10ft of one. My friend's daughter has one. The boys tried it and were taking turns trying to stand up and jumb off the thing, as well as trying to knock each other off of it. I can only imagine what they would do to Hannah if she had one. lol They are Cr@Zy boys!

How about a personalized flip stool bench or personalized growth chart. Here are some.

There is a site that I ordered from in the beginning of the year and liked their product. So 2 months ago, I ordered again but I did not get the product and they charged me credit card so pm me if you do get something like this and I will tell you the name of the company.

Is she walking yet? I always buy those little doll strollers for little girls. My nieces loved them! And the twins play with it now! Or a little shopping cart. Anything they can push if they are walking. And the benefit of being able to put stuff in it is always a plus. I think the age on the stroller is 2 or 3, but I got it for my niece when she was a year and she loved it.

I know you said they already have some little people stuff, but my girls love the pink airplane and school bus. I like the doll baby accessories idea.

Savings for college, a piggy bank, a special piece of jewelry to be saved for when she gets older......

I'll be back if I think of other stuff. I'm having the same problem. My girls have so much I wish I could ask people to just come and celebrate.
