Just curious how people have decorated their nurseries. I'm expecting boy/girl twin in early March and can't figure out what to do with my nursery. I saw some girl bedding that I loved in browns and pinks (called Julia) but I can't find anything boy-ish to coordinate with it. I thought about doing bugs (for the boy) and butterflies (girl) but can't find any bedding to coordinate either.
The room we are working with is pretty much a blank slate to work with, we haven't painted or anything, in fact it's still our office until after Christmas. It's a great room though with French doors leading into it and a nice window that makes it a bright, clean looking room.

Anyone have some pictures of thier nurseries to share or ideas to help me out?

I am also having boy/girl twins. I found really cute coordinating bedding on Wal-mart website. The girls is pink and chocolate brown and the boys is same pattern but blue and chocolate brown. They also have really cute blankets as well. Pretty reasonable pricing too.

Pottery Barn always has a lot of coordinating bedding, in pinks and blues. You can either use something simple like ginghams (pink and blue) and then go with some quilted bedding with the butterflies and insects.

Or boys' patchwork and girls' patchwork

congrats on your bg twins, i am having gg so i am probably not much help to you...however i really like your bugs and butterflies idea, and also the pp pink/choc and blue and choc sounds really nice. good luck, and email us any pictures if you decide.

one more thing, i found a huge range of nursery sets at ababy.com

and that is where i got the idea of my girls bedding, which i ended up getting custom made on ebay.have posted my bedding set a few weeks ago and can email you the email adress of the brilliant lady who made mine, if you want.

    goodluck.

Pottery Barn had some great gender neutral bedding. If you look on line I am sure you will find something neat. I went on ebay andfound a mint green dragonfly set, they had other colors as well. Good luck.

We got our bedding at baby superstore (online). They have a lot of selection. We are having boy/girl twins as well but ended up going with an animal theme for the room (so it is kind of gender neutral).

We decided on a theme before we knew we were having two boys. We wanted a nuteral theme. We are doing animals. Hubby is making everything, we got the material from WalMart, safari type animals. We knew boys or girls that would work and animals can grow with kids

My mom gave me 2 crib sets from Pottery Barn Kids for my shower. Blue and Pink.
I took the blue back and got green (since I'm only going to have one crib set up for a few months).
So I went with a green theme and a pink theme. Same pattern just different colors.
It is worth the money at pottery barn, their stuff is sooo nice. And they always have coordinating stuff

We did a trains & ladybugs theme. I'm on my sister's computer, but when I get home I'll try to remember to post some pics. I got the ladybug bedding from Penney's & the trains from Company Kids. Originally I got other bedding from Target, but took it back b/c the quality was terrible.

My sister got super adorable bedding for her little girl's room from Walmart, actually. Most of the time I don't think their quality is very good, but their George brand isn't bad! This is the one she has:

And here's the boy's that coorinates:

Here's another they have for boy/girl:

We were planning for a boy/girl combo before we knew we had 2 girls, and we were going to use a sea-life theme. I think animals are always a good choice for both genders, and we found a couple of different sets with lots of turquoise (which i think is great for both genders). We ended up only slightly adapting the theme to a Hawaiian theme for the girls, but that is also something that coupld work for both genders (surfboards, palm trees etc.... lots of cute bedding out there like this too!)

    have fun!

I'm expecting b/g twins in SEPTEMBER!!....and DH and I are still debating on what we want to do. He wants an underwater/sea theme and I want a pink/chocolate and blue/chocolate color scheme. If you are still looking into that same color scheme, I recommend www.brandeedanielle.com. I'm definitely going to be going with bedding from this site (pink chocolate swirls and blue chocolate swirls) if I can convince DH to let go of his sea life theme = ) The brandee danielle site has several "coordinating" girl and boy sets as well as some nice neutral sets as well.

Another great bedding site is www.babysupermall.com. I found that the best way to find coordinating boy/girl bedding is to search by brand name. So you would go to the drop down menu to limit the search and look at each brand individually....since many bedding makers DO make the same bedding in boy and girl styles.

Oh...another comment about the Brandee Danielle site.....they provide you with free fabric swatches for any beddings you want. And the swirl bedding I mentioned above is almost exactly the same as the Glenna Jean scribbles bedding, but for half the price.

    Good Luck!!

My husband and I are having twins, one of which is a boy and we think Baby A is a girl but not positive yet. . . But we want a blue/chocolate and pink/chocolate for the nursery also. The best deal I found was on Ebay. . .It is a moon and stars theme (which works because my husband is painting clouds on the ceiling). . The sets are really reasonably priced, which is really important to us these days. . .

    The girl set:

BTDT.........save your money, and just buy fitted sheets..........it is not recommended to use any bedding for a baby these-days for fear of SIDS.

[SIZE=10pt]I have b/g twins that are just a lil over a year. We decided to "cut" the room in half and give them each their own theme. I don't have any recent pictures uploaded, but here are a couple from the early decorating stage.

I have b/g twins and we did the nursery with the Baby Snoopy Peek a Boo theme (I am a Snoopy-aholic...I love Snoopy). DH painted half of the walls in an eggshell white and the bottom half in a pale blue. We figured it was fitting for both. Now my daughter has that as her room and my son has his own room with a Safari theme.

We did the Classic Pooh from Target! In the store they have it in shades of pink and blue but the exact same bedding. It is very light pastels but enough to tell!
    http://www.target.com/Classic-Pooh-Collect...;rh=&page=1

We did the Classic Pooh b/c it is neutral and can be used for either! The set I got 7 years ago, I actually ordered from JC Penney's, but the one that Target has now is very similar and adorable too!!

I actually picked it out before we knew that we were having boys...again b/c it could go either way...and we can (have and will use it for other kids too...girls or boys). We used blue, green, and yellow sheets for the 3 boys and now I can use pink and purple sheets with Megan. I love that I don't have to go out and buy all new beeding this time around...as much fun as that would be having our one and only girl...it saves alot of $$ to just use what we have!

THIS one is exactly like the ones we have. It has the bees and butterflies in the background and all the pretty pastel colors (green, blus, yellow, pink, and purple) so it can be for either sex.
