I need help with a middle name....

We are having boy/girl twins. I have known that I wanted the girl to be "Greta" for quite some time but know we can't decide on a middle name.
Please let me know what you think sounds better:

Greta Jean (Jean is my mom's and sister's middle name)

OR

Greta Ann (Ann is my middle name)

I vote for Jean also!!!! My little girl will be named Victoria Jean!!!!!

(The name Jean runs in my family as well. My grandmother's name, my mother's middle name, my twin sisters middle name, her daughters middle name!!! )

 

I like Greta Jean as well, BUT am partial to Ann because that is my middle name too! :lol:

 

I'm the odd man out...I really like Greta Ann the best. Although...when I say it too fast it sounds like Gretanne...perhaps the gretA and the Jean does go better.

I like Greta Jean better than Greta Ann, the two As seem to run together.

 

Have you considered Greta JeanAnn/Jeanann? I have a friend named Jean Ann; she is called by both names all the time, so to my ears it's a perfectly acceptable "single" name.

Also, my brother and his wife combined both grandmothers' names for their daughter's middle name, Ruthann. I've always thought it was a neat way to honor both, and a pretty name to boot!

Jean. It doesn't flow to have one word ending with the same sound as the next one begins with, IMO: i.e. GretA Ann.

 

Definitely Jean. I agree with pp about the A at the end of Greta and the beginning of Ann not flowing well. I think I read this somewhere, too!
