ok so these 9 hour days have been tourture and I'm miserable by the end..well yesterday I pulled a straight 10 hour day and didn't think I was gonna make it to my bed when I got home.....well now I will probably be doing another 10 today and get this they want me to work tomorrow too....can't they give me a break I'm so hoping my OB will let me go on temp disability soon. It wouldn't be so bad if I had a lunch break I could sneak in a nap but nope we work straight though and eat when we get a second. I'll have 55.5 hours this week....

Oh my gosh! I can't even imagine working that many hours. You do need a break! Your body is working double time right now. If you don't slow down, you could end up on bedrest and that will be a very long, not so fun break.

doesn't your job take into consideration that you are pregnant? I'm sure you don't expect special treatment but jeez they should back off your hours considering you are putting too much strain on your body. is this a sit down job or are you on your feet all day?

I hope you can get your break, you need it :D

the majoirity is a sit down job but I have one of those adjustable chairs that have a half back and it is so uncomfortable.....I work with all men so they don't think about pregnancy being anything but easy.

I would have to say that you need to speak up and tell them that either they back off the hours for you or you are going to end up on bed rest putting in ZERO time.

I am just a couple weeks ahead of you and I can't do much at all without it wiping me out. I can not imagine how sore and tired you are by the time you get home.

I am totally wore out at the end of the day and my house proves it and then I get depressed cause my house is so bad......it's a no win situation....and my bosses don't really care unless you have a Dr note to prove it.......when I was about 3 months they deceided to fire the cleaning people and then tell me oh by the way we need you to clean the office building too......well I did for about 2-3 weeks and then at my next appt I asked my OB if i needed to be doing that he said heck no and gave me a note or I'd still be doing that....

My gosh Brandi! :hug99: I would be needing a break too. That is an awful lot of hours to put in when not pregnant, but now I'm sure your body is wanting to rest. I hope your OB hears you out on this and "helps" you out. :hug99:

Maybe you can get some sort of light duty note from your doctor, limiting your hours. Also arent there ergo laws that they have to provide a comfortable work environment? Maybe that varies by company. I know sometimes I feel high maintenance by asking for some special accomodations, but hey this is only temporary and so very important. Its no different than someone who was in a car accident and is now in a wheel chair - you know they would make accomodations for that situation - just my opinion.

Wow, Brandi, that sure is a lot of hours. Maybe you need to talk to your OB about getting your hours cut a bit. :hug99:

You are definitely not a wuss, just pregnant with twins and that takes A LOT out of you. :) Hang in there. :hug99:

I am not expecting but enjoy reading about all teh liile babies . It gives me my baby fix by coming in here. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you what my OB told me when I was expecting my girls. (He was an experienced twin doctor. He even had a set of ID boys hisself.) IHe told me the danger period for twin pregnancy was from 24-32 wks. After 32 kws you are not totally out of the woods but you have a much better chance of delivering two healthy babies. This is a basic summary as I don't want to drag this out. I just really wanted to say you are basically (according) to your uterus full term. 55 hrs a week is way to much stress on your poor body. If you tell your OB this they will probably give you at least partial medical leave. Your body is trying to tell you you are over doing it by being so sleepy and worn out.
