i miss the first year...

just wanted to post and say, i know the first year is rough (esp. months 0-3) - but i miss them being so little...and cuddly. Now they run around, make a mess...are destructive and generally 'trouble makers in training.'

So hang in there and enjoy the little moments

I never thought I would say this, but I agree with you. I hated, I mean HATED the first four months thanks to colic and reflux but now when I look at them they look so big and do miss those days of them snuggling up and sleeping on my chest. :wub:

 

I think it does help to know that moms who are past the FY miss it. Please keep reminding us LOL

Yesterday I was talking to a pg momma who is expecting twin girls in June and she asked what one piece of advice would you give me. I said "Try to enjoy the moment and when you are super-sleep deprived in those early days, remember it won't always be like this. Take pictures and video because it will amaze you how quickly it all goes by." I miss my cuddly little girls. Now I'm lucky if I get a quick "Drive-by" hug before they run off to play with something else. So I don't think you're crazy.. I totally know what you mean!

 

I'm mostly going to miss how tiny they are. but I am looking forward to them taking their first steps and talking.

 

I always knew I would miss them being small. Anytime anyone talks about them walking, etc., I say, "no, I like them just the way they are. I'm enjoying them now. I love being able to carry around my babies :wub: ."

 

You are sooo NOT crazy!!

I miss the first year too, mostly because these are my only babies, and I am sad to know I will never experience that stage again.

It goes by very quickly, so enjoy every crazy hectic amazing moment!!!

 

Definitely not crazy, I miss it too! The past year has gone by sooooo quickly and I miss it all. Since I have an older child, I knew how quickly the baby stuff goes by so I tried to enjoy every moment. I would much rather listen to a baby cry because they are hungry and want a bottle than a 3 year old that talks back and has tantrums about everything!
