My twins are 6 1/2 months old... and I've been on the pill sine 6 wks post partum. Well, I started the "period" pills Sunday, and so far no period. I keep going to the bathroom to "check" and nothing. I took a test yesterday morning, and it was negative. I'm trying to go about my daily business of keeping my girls happy and healthy, but man o man am I anxious about this. I would love another baby, even now really, but my husband would flip out! I may be jumping the gun and could totally not be preggers, but bleeding has always started by now since having the girls and on these pills. Quess I'll wait...

You might be suprised! My dh only wanted 2 kids. After we had the twins he was happy. I knew I wanted a 3rd but wanted to wait till they were 3 or 4. Well 1 month after their first birthday I was extremely fatigued so I had him get me a pregnancy test. Sure enough it was positive. I bawled my eyes out. I was not ready to be pregnant again. Then there was DH, the guy who only ever wanted 2 kids telling me how great it was and how all the kids would be close in age and everything would be ok etc etc. I was shocked!

I found that every month my period came another day later than I expected. Once I started worrying about it made it longer! Hang in there! You may want to do a blood test just to make sure. (My guaranteed way to make my period start!) Good luck!

I was feeding my almost 5 month old babies peas for the first time and almost threw up. I thought "how odd, these don't look very good but not bad enough to make me this nauseous." Two days later I had a positive pregnancy test! What a surprise! I waited two whole days to tell my DH that I was pregnant because he had his first flights with students and I didn't want him to crash the plane because I sprung such news on him. I was sure he would pass out, but he just kind of grinned and sat down and was like "ok, so one more." It was precious how well he handled it. I know having 3 babies under 14 months of age will be a lot, but it's still exciting. Keep us posted!

Remember that stress can change your cycle! Good luck. I bled at the normal time but it wasn't the normal quantity! So I was a week late when I got my positive.

Update - Aunt Flo finally decided to show up when I was up with Hannah at 3am this morning. Just a wonky period I guess. Weird mix of emotion... lots of relief and a little bit of sad. Quess I won't be joining you...

Your girls are still such babies, so you have plenty of time. But I know how it can be when you are not even planning something, then to think it happened, just to find out it didn't... disappointing. You might be very thankful though in a few months when your girls are really getting around and you are chasing them down!!!
