I might be in for h*ll tonight

I hope I don't wind up all night tonight! My babies were exhausted, they spent the night at my mom's last night, and we all came home around noon, and they napped. Amelia got up at 1:30 and Lily got up at 2, and by 3:00 Amelia started to get pretty fussy. I gave them some solids at 3:30, and by 4:30 Amelia was beyond tired. She was screaming and wouldn't stop. So even though I didn't want to put her down that early (they usually go to bed between 6 and 7) I offered her a bottle and she took the entire thing and fell right to sleep, she was completely asleep by 4:45. Lily took her bottle and was down by 5:30. Neither baby has stirred since they went down, so I'm assuming they're down for the night and not napping? I'm afraid she's going to wake up at 9 or 10 and be up for the night, and DH is working all night, so it's just me all night and all day tomorrow too!

My mom does so much with them, they went for a walk today, they went to the park and played on the swings, and they went swimming twice today. I know they are exhausted, I just hope this isn't going to mess up their good sleep habits!

This happens to us sometimes. If they wake up this evening, just feed them like you normally would for a night waking and put them right back down. My DS slept from 4:30 pm (quick feed at 6:30 pm ) until 7 this morning.

That is what we do too in this situation. Always works

Oh those eyelashes :air_kiss: Your girls are beautiful!! I had the same issue with Jake & Josh tonight. I only put them down an hour early-6:30 instead of 7:30 put they needed it. Their schedule was off the past two days and I think it finally caught up.

Well it actually wasn't too bad. Amelia woke up at 9, but I was still awake watching Brothers and Sisters, so I got her up and gave her a bottle and rocked her for a little while - she was wide awake! So I just put her back in her crib, wide awake, and she didn't make a sound.

On the other hand, Lily woke up starving at 3 am! So I fed her at 3, and then when DH got home from work at 4 this morning he fed her again! LOL Then both babies woke up this morning at 5 am! I let them play in their cribs until 5:30 though, so not too bad.
