We went MINI golfing yesterday on golf course that looks like it gets played about 1 x a week. Pretty old and run down and in the natural landscape there were lots of rocks and trees and it was a hike to get back to the clubhouse for the toilets.

I KNOW IT'S GROSS - but with my calf injury I didn't want to hike them back so......

I tried to get Ali to tinkle outside a couple times (she held herself pretty much the whole time! Made me a nervous nelly) because I KNEW she had to go.

Martin did it and loved it! (Naturally!)

Well later that day at home - Ali was at OUR house and TRIED to tinkle outside while she was playing and missed and got her pants soaked. :icon_eek:

I tried to impress on her that it was a rare thing etc. yada yada yada we always go inside when it's available etc.... :umm: I could be IN TROUBLE!!!!

My nephew use to do this everywhere even outside a resturant cause his parents were just to lazy to walk him to the bathroom, they even let him poop in the bushes great parents. I understand in a pinch doing that just to pee but letting them goo poop that is just gross.

Well, when I was potty training, we spent alot of time in our yard with bottoms off. The girls never had an issue with wanting to go anywhere. But, Will learned going outside (we had moved to the farm, so he could potty outside anytime). One time we were at a preschool picnic and he whipped his pants down and went on a bush right there in front of everyone (he was 25 months at the time, so should he have known better, :unknw: ). But, it made me realize that I needed to stress that point.

What I'm saying is, encourage her to do it so she can when she needs to, but also be sure to make her realize it's a special time only moment! Some people won't let their kids go outside, I think you are doing a great job!

I know!!! I felt really bad! I realized it was a special situation (seriously NO ONE golfs on this little mini course) If she weren't dancing around the WHOLE time, I wouldn't have tried. She held it till we got in the clubhouse - tried it when we got home! :umm:

Mine do when we are outside playing, but I make them go behind a tree, etc.

They do know when they are inside they have to use the potty though.

Okay I swear I am laughing with you not at you Di :rotflmbo:
I would just keep reminding her that it was a special circumstance and we need to go potty IN the potty. :)

 I thought the same thing when I showed John outside and then he did it again a week later. But he never did again, unless we asked him too (like on our way to SP this weekend because the bathroom at Mobile was broken ;) ) so I would not worry about it. :)
