I'm 36 weeks today which means that as long as they are breathing ok after the c-section there is no reason to assume the babies need to be separated from me at all! My hospital does automatic 24 hours in the NICU for under 35 weeks and 6 hours in a transition nursery for under 36 weeks. My doctors didn't think I would make it and I was worried I wouldn't make it.

I no longer drive but only because DH asked me not to, but I can still be up and about so my friend took me shopping today for a new vacuum. I even got to go out to lunch and pick up a Color Wonder to go kit for DD when she visits at the hospital. Now I need to switch car seat covers out and we're just about ready!

That is great! The longer they are in there the better. Do you have a date for c-section yet? Glad you are still feeling good. Just try to rest up now before they get here.:) Can't wait to hear the news!

My c-section is in 8 days, they didn't want to push much past 37 weeks because they are clearly slowing down in growth due to less space. But, they still have fluid and blood flow so no reason to push it earlier.

I just joined to post this to you.

I am 36 weeks tomorrow. Glad to find someone still hanging in there with me. I am not driving either due to my own fear. I have hyperventilated a couple times while driving and it was very scary. But i am still moving around. I took belly photos today so now I feel like they can come. Baby B flipped breach last weekend and I hope he does another flip! I have an a ppt Friday but no scheduled c sec yet. Oh, and my doctor goes on vacation all next week - so I am hoping for 37 1/2!

    Keep us updated!

Ultrasound went well today, now I just have to see the OB tomorrow and after that wait to see what will happen. They were breech/transverse and then breech/breech (first time B wasn't transverse during an ultrasound in a long time) but unless A goes vertex the c-section will happen.

Thanks for all the encouragement, this is hard work!

Well, we were able to move my c-section up to 10:15 instead of 2:15 which is so much better! She was shocked to see me and I imagine she will be shocked to see me that day as well, she thinks I'll go into labor. However, she didn't even bother checking my cervix because I told her I wasn't having any more contractions than previously.

So, I'm all set to go! No more doctor appointments for me, just had to set up my 6 week follow up. :)

Good for you, I hope you make it to the scheduled C-Section. Don't worry about the C-Section, I didn't think it was that bad. Just make sure you follow your doctors' orders for the recovery. Good luck and I hope you have healthy, big babies that don't need any NICU.

My coworker said something about getting everything done that I need to because I'll be out of commission for awhile after the c-section. My mom saw the Facebook post before I did and called me to ask what was up with that? I had to tell her that this is the coworker who stays home because she's deathly ill when she gets a cold so her having a c-section was horrible to her. Plus, her mom and husband did EVERYTHING for the baby for the first two or three weeks and she barely got up to walk. I have been told so many times that it's crucial to get up and walk, I can't imagine sitting for 2 or 3 weeks. My husband was up walking circles around his section of the hospital (and walking faster than me!) 2 days after heart surgery to help speed up his recovery!

I Had a section with my boys. THe day of the section they wouldnt let me out of bed. I had the boys at 8:19 and 8:20 on a friday morning, by saturday morning I was up walking around, although I looked like a hunch back..... :p

I barely got up to walk after my C-section, but I think it more a matter of nursing (someone!) for 20 hours or so a day.
