I Made it to 28 weeks!

Yay!! 3 weeks ago when I was 25 weeks and admitted to the hospital for PTL, 28 weeks seemed sooooo far away- and now its here!! Every Friday we have been celebrating Non-Birthdays for the girls. My MIL comes and brings cupcakes and balloons, and we have a party each week. Its really a nice way to pass the time, and appreciate each week they have stayed in my tummy.

Im hoping I can keep them in for a few more weeks, however my contactions are getting REALLy strong and more frequent despite being on Terbutaline and Mag. Its in Gods hands, and I am thankful to have made it this far. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens...

 

What a big milestone, especially with all that you've been through. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

 

:banana: I remember that feeling! I was in/out of the hospital at 21 , 26 , 28, and then in for good at 30+ weeks and delivered at 31.6

Everyday that is 'non birthday' is a celebration and 28 weeks is a BIG milestone! Keep it up!!!

Yay, congratulations! I can only imagine being in your situation- I am not in the hospital or anything- and it seems like every week I make it is just another milestone for me, so I can see why you throw the big celebration! I am so excited about hitting 28 weeks next week, that I am sure you are just ecstatic!!! Good luck, and hopefully they will stay put a bit longer!!!

Keep up the good work, I can only imagine how difficult your situation must be, but you seem to have such a great attitude and outlook which I bet is making all the difference!!

Congrats on making it to the third trimester!!! I found this information to be quite reassuring(although I'm not that far yet!):
This was a 28 week development site
Branches of lungs are quite developed now, so there is a good chance that baby would survive if born prematurely now. If your baby is born this week, the chances of survival is now at least 90 percent. However, some complications are still possible.

Awesome! I am on bed rest and have an incompetent cervix...so I understand just how important these milestones are!

Congrats! We have similar stories -- I was in the hospital at 25 weeks as well and waqs thrilled to make it to 28 last week!
