I am having sooooo much fun with the boys now. Everyday I feel like I'm drunk on parenthood. I will NEVER tire watching them figure out the world.

I wanted to hear what everyone else is enjoying about whatever stage you're in.

Here are a few of my favorite things (23m):

*Their little sponge-minds can't ever get enough of learning, talking, exploring, 'figuring'
*Language Explosion...and their sweet little voices pronouncing 'tiger' "TIE-gah", 'flamingo' "mean-GO', etc.
*Endless energy and affection
*Natural desire to help and do things in a 'big boy' way.
*We've turned a corner on 'listening'
*FINALLY sleeping past 6AM (7:30 today! :yahoo:)

(yes, I must be hormonal, b/c I'm not usually a 'cheese ball' poster)

Mine just turned 3 on Friday.

I LOVE:
• the way they phrase things....."this will feel you better, Nolan." "Liam is my best brother (he's Nolie's only brother)"
• the way they take care of each other
• the way they like to help.... whether it's feeding the baby, vacuuming the floor, washing dishes
• the way they express their love for everyone.....a random "I love you" is not unheard of
• the way they are getting so independent (this one is bittersweet)....yesterday I watched Meghan get her Frosted Flakes and a plastic bowl then she sat down to the table for breakfast.

I love "cheese ball" posting.

We are 20 months here. What I am loving about this age is:

How much affection they show towards me. It's unconditional love. It's great to know that there are these two always behind me and ready to hug and kiss, without asking.
Language. OMG, they pick up on everything!! And it cracks me up, even when sometimes I shouldn't be laughing. Ex: My ds must have heard me say "oh God", well the other day when he was trying to close the door, he was having a tough time time and he started saying "oh God, oh God, oh God" in a somewhat worrisome way. My dd will say anything too.
They listen, and do things more in a structured way. We can all dance together. I tell them to clap, then turn, etc. and they do it. We can actually play "games" and they are pretty good.
They've become "mommy's little helpers". They help me clean the house, and actually use a towel to "pretend" clean. They clean up the family room and their rooms {with my help, of course}
Last, but not least {because I can go on forever }the part I love most about this age is how much they love one another. It's an unbreakable bond. They can fight/hit one another and the next minute they are back to hugging and kissing. They stand up for one another against me.

:)

I love:
The way Amy answers questions: Me: "Do you want some pants? Are you cold?" Amy: "No, no pants, I'm not cold." Such a simple thing, but grammatically so impressive!

The way Sarah is so brave even though she is continuously getting hurt -- got a golf-ball sized lump on her forehead just before dinner, but ate her dinner and was jumping around like a lunatic afterwards.

The fact that they can do "downward dog" on command.

"Look Mommy, I put stickers on Thomas, he looks so pretty!" :D

I love, love, love hearing them talk! I especially love the conversations they have in their room. I really need to record it for later posterity. Tonight they were singing the theme to Miffy, and discussing whether Gymbo the Clown is a boy or a girl (of course). I love Bea's run-on sentences ex "Bea not walk down the stairs backwards Bea could fall and hurt herself that not good!" I love how Ainsley says "please", it's just so cute! How she picks up on signs so quickly, even signs they don't really teach in Signing Time, but just the ones in the songs. She still doesn't say "h" at the beginning of words, she needs to go see Henry Higgins, I'll miss that when she outgrows it.

I love seeing them get so excited about the littlest things, like balloons, a bunny outside, or geese in the sky.

I love when I am sitting on the floor H will come by me and lay her head on my back to give me a hug.

When the girls give each other hugs.

When they say "Jack(really ACK) no no(talking to the dog)

When H takes a baby wipe and cleans the floors and her toys

When they find each others pacifiers and bring it to each other

When they "talk" to each other in the mornings before I go get them

When the blow kisses

When they grab onto your hand for no other reason than to hold your hand

When they cover their faces with their hands and then when I say Where's---- they laugh so hard

The way they run from room to room playing with each other

Yes, the signs they pick up are amazing. When I was putting Joe to bed tonight I told him how much i enjoyed our special day together (went to the zoo). He layed down, and signed "Special". They don't formally teach that one either, but he soaked it up regardless. I left the room blinking back emotional tears...what is UP with me? I usually have the heart of a shriveled raisin. ;)

I think I needed this post because sometimes I forget the things I love

- Sofia singing 'Dr.Worm' (a They Might be Giant Song) in the back of the car
- They way Ryan kisses all over my face at nighttime. "First your lips(kiss), now your eyes(kiss, kiss), now your forehead (kiss), now your cheeks (kiss, kiss)".....etc!
-Listening to their conversations
-The way they interact with each other (when they aren't stealing toys)
- Hearing "I love you, mommy"
-The way they just pick up on everything

at 29 months...

- High 5's and knuckle raps
- The way they say please, thank you, and excuse me
- When they just run up and give you a hug & kiss
- That they LIKE to play "pick up" now with their toys
- Playing together and helping each other
- The little songs they belt out in the back seat
- The belly button game (pressing each other's belly buttons and then running around whooping like it was some sort of silly switch)
- When Trent pretends he's wiping off kisses and says, "No more kisses, Mommy" with a grin just to get more kisses
- The way they tell the dog what to do (he outweighs them both put together)

They are learning to say each others names (Jaaaa for Jack ) (oph for Sophie)
Constantly running around
When they come up and cuddle you and say awww
The kisses and hugs they give each other (in between the pokes and bites!)
When they say d d d to the dogs or each other (must be their way of saying no)
When Sophie dances and sings she is so cute.
When Sophie is crying Jack will go and find her dummy to make her happy

OH I LOVE THIS!!! I have enjoyed reading all of these posts!!

My girls are 13 months and:

I love the way they will already say thankyou (taa taa) when I hand them a cup or cookie!!

I LOVE the open mouth sweet kisses they give even though I chance getting bit!

I Love that right now they are both sound asleep right here on me

I love that they call both me and dh mama - they call my cell phone dada because we always call dada when we wake up in the mornings!! (dh does not like being called mama but it is so cute!)

I love that they go crazy when their brothers come home from school!

I love this "zombie" (as my boys call it) walking!!! Ava has just started walking good taking about 10 or so zombie steps!

I love looking into their faces because they are so beautiful and such a miracle.

Great topic!
I love how my girls jump up and down with glee when I pick them up in the morning
Those open mouth kisses
The way they "pat" me on my shoulder when I hold them (like I pat them on the back)
How they get SO excited when I let them run around just in a diaper - or better yet - naked. I have a soft blanket I put on the floor and they run for it and roll around on it - it must feel good on their bare skin - it's just so cute.
They just started saying "HI" and "Yeah"
How they shake their heads no or yes
Natalie will furrow her brow when I tell her no - it's defiant I know - but it's SO cute when she does it
They are starting to "sing" - I sing to them all of the time and they will imitate me "lalala lala" in a singing voice - melts my heart
I could go on forever - Every day they do something new - OR can reach something new - it's amazing to watch them literally grow over night.

Oh, that's a good one...yes, DH has them doing knuckle tapping and High 5s and also had them recognizing his college alma mater's mascot from the time they were 9 months old.

It's a Cougar, and they always say "COUG!" whenever they see it. DH has about 6 million shirts/jackets with the logo on it, coffee cups, beer glasses, etc. When we're at a store and they see any item (or someone wearing a shirt/hat) with the logo they yell out "COUG!" We get quite a warm reception from passersby who also support the team.

-Hearing Madison sing
-Alina bringing her blanket to you so you can cuddle her and cover her up
-Them talking to each other, the other morning while still in their cribs, I heard: "Hello Sissy, Bye Sissy, Hello Sissy, Bye Sissy", in the tub they always say "move Sissy", because they want to trade places
-When they talk on their play phones to PaPaw or Daddy
-When they chase each other around the kitchen island laughing and giggling
-Every morning when I go in Alina goes through the same thing: "MOMMY", "sshh...Daddy sleeping, Wilson sleeping", "me up", "Sissy up too", "Cheri's house" (if they go to the sitters that day)

I love this topic!!!

Our boys are 13 months and I love:

1. Big, wet open mouthed kisses (to me AND to each other)
2. Walking!
3. Jonathan is saying "Azar bad pup!" (my in-law's dog).
4. The way they chase each other around our recliner
5. The way they say, "Da-Da!" when the phone rings or I start dialing - same as Heather!
6. James points to this feet when we say, "James, where are your piggies?!"

Great idea! Mine are 12.5 months

The way Owen just starting crawling to me and cuddling with me, laying his head in my lap and curling up next to me.

The way, when they're next to each other in their high chairs, they'll hold hands and giggle at each other.

Yesterday, I told Lilly to go get her mail (mailbox on a toy)..AND SHE DID!

I swear I caught them kind of hugging each other last week, and smiling at each other! (Usually they're not so fond of each other...)

I have the biggest smile on my face just from reading through these posts. How heartwarming to read!

I love this 21 month stage:
1. Hearing "I love you, Mommy" (Love sounds like "luge" with a soft /g/ sound)
2. Hearing the explosion of vocabulary
3. Hearing the girls string words together into sentences
4. Getting real kisses from pursed lips
5. Listening to them chatter with and giggle at each other from their cribs
6. That they no longer throw unwanted food on the floor... they now place it on the table. Woo-hooooo!
7. Watching them hug each other
8. That they call medicine "Good girl" because we say "Good girl" every time they take it.
9. Watching them hug their big sister
10. That every time they see me on the phone, they automatically say, "Nana!" assuming I'm talking to my mom, even if I'm not.

I love being a mommy, but being a mommy of twins is even more special than I'd ever imagined.
