Yesterday I was applying for new medical insurance and the lady realizes I have twins, she then tells me she feels sorry for me [IMG] Whatever!

I love having twins, to think that I carried these two perfect babies in me, they came to life in me. I felt them kicking and ya know what I miss it. Im the worst pregnant lady, I have so many complications but there is that part of me that misses feeling them from the inside. But I look at them now and see how wonderful it is. I think of how amazing it is that one egg, that normally only results in one single baby can split and make two equally wondeful babies, God sure is GREAT!

Sure Im sleep deprived and completely exhausted since they dont sleep through but they are only little once so I dont mind. THe girls love their big brother, they just want to play with him all day long. As soon as they see me in the morning I get these wonderful big smiles and I can see they are truely happy to see me. The girls are interacting now and it is the coolest thing I have ever seen. The other night one was in the bouncer and I was holding the other one next to her, they looked at eachother and started laughing [IMG] They now will scoot to be right in front of eachother and try to steal the others toy, they will pull eachothers hair, drool all over eachother and sometimes just touch the other one. I love to see them smile at eachother, I love to see them play together, I love to see them rolling all over eachother! I love this all!

I will never understand why people feel sorry for me just because I have twins. What a wonderful miracle and blessing.

Me too! I still get those comments, and I hear a lot "better you than me" and you know what...they are right...ha!! It is better it's me, because I love it!! I have never felt more joy or fullfillment in my whole life. Congratulations on your babies!

HOORAY FOR TWINS!!! Cassie, you have been going through so so much lately. It's really great to hear that through all the chaos and tough times that you can smile and find your happiness in your kids. They truly are miracles of God. I'm glad you are doing well. I figure when people say "I feel sorry for you" that they are really the ones to feel sorry for cause they obviously either never had the joy having children or weren't very loving parents themselves. Your kids are very lucky to have such an incredible and loving mommy!!

Absolutely - I don't know why people get so bitter about it - it's an amazing experience (besides - what do you do with just one baby anyway?

What a sweet post, Cassie! My DD was saying the other day that she is tired of people saying "oh I'm glad it's you and not me!" when she tells them that she is expecting twins ... of course she says "I'm glad it's me and not you too!" when they say that, but she gets down about it anyway and starts fretting too much that she's not going to be able to handle two, etc. And she also gets bummed that many people don't seem to be happy for her once she tells them it's twins as they might be if she were having a singleton. Why in the world do people react that way anyway?!? It is so awesome to be blessed with TWO (or more!) [IMG]

I just keep reminding DD that God chooses only VERY SPECIAL mommies to have more than one! From reading all the wonderful posts of advice and support here on this board, it is obvious it's very true that only the most special mommies get to be twin mommies!!!

After my twins were born I remember telling my doctor that All babies should come in pairs. Having twins is AMAZING! The only people who talk like it isn't are the ones who do NOT know what they are talking about. I would do it again tomorrow. I thank God everyday for my babies.

Here here Cassie! I LOVE having twins. Sure it can be hard, but it's so well worth it. I, too, am so sick of people either a) looking at me with horror or b) looking at me with sympathy

I feel the same way. Sure I get frusturate and stupid people make me mad when they say things about double trouble, etc... But I wouldn't change it for the world. Every morning when they wake, they just smile and it makes all the spit up, poop, crying, sleeplessness, $$ hardships (i could probably go on) all worth it [IMG]

I feel the same way. I am so glad I have twins and I feel truely blessed that God chose me to have two babies at once! Plus, I hate being pregnant so I get two babies for the price of one (we are lucky that we healthy pregnancies!)

I too get those comments like, "How do you do it?" "Better you than me!""Do you ever sleep?" It really isn't as bad as people think it is! Plus, when you have two babies nursing at the same time hugging your breast with that look - man it brings happy tears to my eyes. There is nothing like it! The only way it could be better would be if I had triplets (and three breasts!)

Ditto! I agree with everything above! Twins are so amazing! My favorite conversation goes like this:
"Oh my, God bless you" (and they say it with a sneer) so I reply "THANK YOU! He certainly has!" [IMG]

Well said Cassie! Every morning that I wake up and see 2 little heads poking up out of the co-sleeper I think to myself, "Wow, I had 2 babies! Aren't I lucky?"

When people pity me for having twins I just smile and say, "You've obviously never had twins. I've done singletons and I've done twins, twins is way better!"

I always tell people i can't imagine myself having only one baby. Everyone should have twins! It's more of double the fun, double the joy, and double the love and not double trouble.

When I asked my DH what he thinks it would be like to have one baby he responded "I dunno, but you'd be pretty bored watching me hold a baby all the time" [IMG] I love having twins. Tracy

    hi all,
I am new to this site, just having had or set of twins, I've been kind of busy. The girls are 6 weeks old this saturday and are truly a blessing. i couldn't imagine not having the both of them. Abigail and Paige are the light of our lives and their big brothers. If anyone has any great tips for just about anything, we'd be glad to hear them. To all of those people who say things like, double trouble, etc. I just smile and say that i wouldnt have it any other way.

I look forward to hearing from you all, and enjoy reading the posts when I have the time.
