I LOVE craigslist

my DH and i were just talking about getting the twins the Radio Flyer Tricycles that can fold up when not in use.
looked at them at the store and they were just about $50.00 each
so i started looking on craigslist and found one about 30 minutes away.
than this morning i see an ad that was listed last night with two of the fold n go radio flyer tricycles
one pink and one blue for $15.00 or both for $25.00
i send her a email as fast as i could type. telling her i wanted them for my girl boy twins.
she called me back and i picked them up right away.
she said she had others interested but she also has a set of boy girl twins and knew how hard it was to find a set of things used. :banana:
and even better she was about a 5 minute ride from my house to hers

one more thing do you use helmets with tricycles?

 

Yeah! I just got the girls toddler beds from craigslist this weekend and they match the furniture they already have in their room (that I also bought off CL ).

As for helmets, the girls just got trikes for their birthday last week and we are looking for helmets for them before we let them ride outside. Thats because we have concrete patios... and I want them to get into the habit of wearing a helmet while riding.

 

We always have my girls wear helments while riding the trikes. Figure it will make them know they have to wear the helmet when they ride their bikes.

We haven't been wearing ours on our Trikes, but on their scooters they do. They don't really fit them still.

Between Craigslist and Freecycle, I have gotten so much cheap/free stuff for my girls! I just got a City Jogger Double stroller on craigslist in perfect condition for $200! New they are $500-$600! I am now looking for a Radio Flyer wagon, but haven't had much luck yet...hopefully one will pop up! Enjoy the tricycles! I would put helmets on them just to be on the safe side!

Hurray for great finds! I have sold a few things on Craigslist. Three out of the four things have gone to mom's pregnant with twins (crib, changing table & car seats).

Yay! That is a great deal. Yes, we always wear helmets with our tricycles. I want the kids to understand that they must always wear helmets when on something with wheels. My kids even put them on when they play in their Little Tykes cars. I told them they didn't need them there and they laughed at me and said that they might fall out and hit their heads. :laughing: I couldn't argue and I'd rather them be safe.
