I looked at the calendar and realized

..that my boys haven't left the house in 8 days - I am such a bad mom! I can't even blame the weather or them being newborns. We didn't have to do any preschool drop-off/pick-ups or shopping. So much for expanding our horizons - no wonder my kids have separation anxiety.

 

:hug: You are not a bad Mom :hug: I have had stretches where the kids have not left the house in several days and I think it is just easy to fall into routine and stick with it at times. A part of my problem is that going out usually involves spending money and I am trying to do less of that, so the kids and I have been staying in.

 

I've done that as well. I agree with the saving money, when we're on a strict budget we really don't go many places, especually during winter. Just think during the warmer months you'll get them out a lot more. You're NOT a bad mom!

 

:hug: No worries. At that age it was just easier to stay home then have to navigate around naps, snacks, and food.

 

Oh my gosh, your LO's have it so good! Could they be doing something that is more fun? Probably, but we assume too much sometimes on what they would rather be doing. I always say I'm not some vodvil act here and some weeks are busy and others are spent at home.

 

For at least a month we only went out once a week on the weekend when dh is home. It's so much easier. We always want people to come here so we don't miss naps (so selfish of me!!!)
