I live in a frat house.

At 3:30 this morning I woke up to the sound of hilarious laughter and babies jumping up and down in their cribs. As I put the pillow over my head to block out the sound of their partying, I thought "I live in a frat house. Food all over the floor, total mess in the living room and now late night parties." The belief only got stronger this morning when I took them downstairs and the only way to describe their mood was "hungover". We played a little, I gave them breakfast and threw them back into bed even though we've transitioned to one afternoon nap. There was really nothing else to be done with them.

Needless to say that I'm absolutely sure that there is no way that I will ever have them in big boy beds, close the door and leave them alone to their own devices.

Thanks for the humor this morning. I live with 5 guys here...some days the testosterone is overwhelming!

So I emailed my story to my cousin who also has twins and this was her response:

"Just wait til they learn how to climb out of their cribs. Won’t be long. how close together are their cribs? The valentine’s day that they were 1.5, they woke up silently from their naps, stripped down, pood, SHARED the poo by handing it from crib to crib, and made quite a mess. All, reportedly, silently, so the nanny didn’t know it was occurring til it was too late. "

    Oh, I just can't wait.

And as for the pp who said admit that I had fun listening to them. They were also doing the same thing before falling asleep last night and I recorded it off the monitor so I'd have it forever and ever.
