I came home from work today and Elias is covered in scratches. I asked my nanny if he hadn't slept much because he looked so tired and she said "no, he slept fine, he was just crying and screaming so much because Ezra was scratching him, pulling his hair, and biting him". She can't take them out in the stroller because she can't protect Elias (and she really needs to go out with the stroller, she can't stay inside all day every day!). I keep on butting my head up against this problem. It CAN'T go on like this, there needs to be a solution, I can't have Ezra tormenting his brother like this. I just don't know what to do....

could u get a bigger version of the baby scratch mits? it must be very hard, but just consistancy. No biting, not hitting etc.. it hurts. Could the nanny put the biter in the stroller and hold hands with the other one.

I like this suggestion a lot. I do that frequently with my two when I need to. :hug99: Poor baby.

We have hitters and hair pullers here. When one is being aggressive, I pull the other one out and hold her. It's kind of a pain but it gets the point across to the other one.

What about looking at Craigslist or your local moms club to see if you can find a tandem stroller for a reasonable price?

When she's at home, can she separate them? Put one in a safe area, closed off with a gate, so he can't get to the other one?

I'm sorry you are having such a tough time. :hug99:

We went through a terrible biting stage when our boys were younger. Once they stopped teething, the biting stopped. Unfortunately for us it has been replaced by hair pulling, pinching and scratching. For some reason they always go for each other's faces - so they both look like they've been in a brawl all the time (which they pretty much have been).

I double the advice a pp person gave about getting a used tandem stroller - it's a great way to keep them separated while out of the house. Luckily for me the boys don't seem to be as aggressive with each other when we're in public anymore, so we've started using our side-by-side stroller more and more - but we went through a phase when I avoided using it as much as possible because I'd spend our whole trip breaking up fights.

    Good luck!
