My boys are 5 months old and still haven't clued in that there's another baby in the house. They were 9 weeks early, so I know it might take them a little longer, but I'm looking forward to them interacting. When did it sstart to happen for your twins?

For us, it was around 3-4 months, so I'd say it should happen any time for you. DO give them the benefit of the doubt for being early. The adjusted age will probably be much more accurate.

It's so amazing to see them interact, especially when they are itty bitty.

My two noticed each other this past week. The first time DD looked at DS and smile this HUGE smile (melts my heart just to remember- it was like she saw her hero!) and started cooing to him. All the while, he had no clue! A day or so later, the same happened with him noticing her while she was so busy 'talking' to the ceiling fan to notice.

BUT! The next day I'd just finished feeding them. She was right next to me on a boppy while I was burping him and they noticed each other at the same time. She smiled. He smiled. Then they started cooing to each other.

This lasted for a short amount of time and has not happened since. I don't think DH really believes it happened!

I'm ready for them to interact a lot more too!

Yesterday both of my boys were fussing, and I was holding Joel on my lap and Roman was in the bouncy seat, and we were facing him, and they just started grinning at each other and Joel reached out and grabbed one of Roe's feet.

Then they went back to ignoring each other.

I do put them facing each other during tummy time a lot, and I take their photos together, so I'm always piling them on top of each other for pictures, so I hope that they will start having more genuine interactions like that soon!

Around 3 months or so they noticed the other. Nothing came of it and it was a moment. Since then they have really looked at each other more and more (we put them inches from each other). NOW they are rolling on the floor towards each other, they babble and coo and laugh at each other, reach for each other and it is so adorable. '

I was told it doesnt' happen till closer to one year but it may be different for everyone.

I know a developmental lady that came to a new mom's meeting said it wasnt' important for them to notice each other that they are more into themselves and that is the way it should be?? I don't know about all that. I agree they should be individuals but not to that extreme.

My girls started right about 3mo! Now they 'talk' all the time and hold hands. I have them on the floor next to each other all the time though.

    It should be soon!!! :)

Mine have really started noticing each other in the past two weeks so that is about 3 months adjusted. Now I sit them on my lap facing one another and DD works really hard to get DS's attention. She makes rasberries at him and giggles, then he'll look at her and grin really big. It's so cute!

The other aspect of this is that they've started to notice when I'm holding the other. DD will stare at us the whole time even if DH is holding her at the time. Shades of things to come I'm sure.

Mine noticed each other about 2 weeks ago. They're almost 6 months but were 8.5 weeks early so around 3.5 months adjusted. They looked directly at each other and smiled huge grins. They've noticed each other a few times since but Makenna has reflux so she doesn't spend a lot of time on the floor with Nathan.
