I know I made the right choice...but it sucks!

I went to the L&D for the 3rd time in 2 1/2 weeks. This time my doctor sent me for my high blood pressure after my appt. this morning. She also gave me the option of delivering the babies today (at 36 weeks)... but my blood pressure went down after laying down for awhile so I decided to try and make it to my 37 weeks scheduled c-section next Monday. Of course I'm kicking myself right now. The evenings always seem to be the worse for me.. the hot flashes, trouble breathing, contractions...etc. But I know I made the right decision to keep them in for another week because to have taken them now would have only been selfish on my part (because I'm miserable). But it was tempting to just give in and have them!!!

And to top it off my sister-in-law called to say she's having her baby tonight (she's 37 weeks). It just doesn't seem fair!

I could be holding my own little babies right now...

 Momma!! It's hard, but you are doing a wonderful thing for your babies! Before you know it, your precious little one's will be in your arms! I hope this next week passes quickly for you!! Best of luck to you!

I think you definately did the right thing. One more week for them could mean so much and next week when you are holding them this week of aches/pains will be long forgotten. Hang in there Momma. :youcandoit:

I remember that last week...delivered at 37 weeks myself...and it was NOT fun...BUT my babies were healthy, stayed out of the NICU, and learned to nurse easily. They were much smaller than my singleton, and I realized that smaller babies are more difficult...for me, they woke much more during the night! Not fun!! This extra week on the inside will make their life on the outside better for them and you! Good choice, momma! Enjoy your last week before your life gets flipped upside down! :)

OHMYGOODNESS!!! Can I relate!!! I could have been induced today at 38 weeks, but I decided that I wanted to wait an extra week and give them that much more time cooking...my son was really little when he was born (5lb.9 oz.) and he had a really hard time nursing, etc. so I didn't want to chance that again...then of course, THIS MORNING, I wake up with PUPPS!!! Ugh! I could have been done! Oh well, I know it's best...hang in there mama!!!

Wow good choice momma! I don't know if I could be that strong, I hope so. Way to go! Only one more week, just keep saying that over and over!

Oh my, I am so sorry! What a tough decision, but good for you!!! I am jealous you are having yours next week since we are on the same day gestation wise! My doc won't induce until 38 weeks! Hang in there girl, you can do one more week.

    Molly
    36 weeks today.

Way to go girl! I admire your strength! I dont think i would've been that strong. I know how tough it is wanting to keep these babies cooking but just wanting it to be over at the same time. Couple more days for you, you can do it!
