I had to stop wearing my wedding ring over the weekend. It was just too tight and I really didn't want to wait too long and end up having it cut off. I just love my wedding ring...my husband actually worked with a ring designer and had it specially designed for me. It's just so beautiful and I feel it is such a part of me.

It's weird though...my fingers don't look swollen at all but I guess they are a bit.

You are smart. I never took mine off and one day I could not take it off for the life of me. I wore it the entire time and it drove me nuts because it was so tight.

I had it a little too but not bad. However, I did have it off when I went for the u/s the day the girls were born. I about threw a fit when I realized I didn't have it and the girls were going to born...my sister was going to go get it before the c-section but I wouldnt let her leave the hospital since DH wasn't there. DH on the other hand never wears his ring to work b/c he is afraid he will lose it...he always puts it on when he gets home. However, that day, he did where it. I asked him if he had a feeling that the girls were going to come that day, he said no, but wore his ring to work. Odd how things happen.

I haven't been able to wear mine since about 23 weeks, and it makes me sad!! We got the rings cleaned and put them in our safe, so at least when I go back to wearing it I will have rings that look like new - it gives me something to look forward to! My DH designed my ring when he was deployed to Iraq and brought the drawing back with him and worked with a jeweler here - and we still have the drawing he brought too, so the ring is very special to me!

Also, when I'm out in public where people don't know me I am self-conscious about it and feel that I look like an un-wed mother! LOL

I had to take mine off at about 23 weeks too. I went to Kohls and got a $6 ring so my finger doesn't feel naked. It makes my husband a little sad, but he knows I can't wait to get my other ring back on.

I'm hoping I won't have to take mine off! I'll be so sad if I do! It's actually still a bit loose, but I know I've got plenty of time for that to change! I'll have to take it off when I go for my c section but I'll be putting it right back on once I'm out of the OR (if it fits!)... I love my ring and what it represents. I feel for you ladies who've had to remove it- keep your ring fingers crossed that I won't have to remove mine! :)

I joked with my dh that I might get hit on now that I don't wear a wedding ring. He just looked at my very pregnant belly and just laughed!

I am only 18 weeks along and my ring is already off. DH and I went out and picked a nice chain for me to at least wear my ring around my neck. Oh, but I look forward to the day he can put my ring back on my finger!

I took mine off at 31 weeks, and not a moment too soon, since it was really tight! My fingers didn't look very swollen to me (not like my feet, anyway), but I guess they were.... I miss it :(

I know it is hard! I waited to take mine off thinking that with my daughter I never had to take them off... Now I try every day to get them off with NO LUCK! Be glad you got them off when you could!

I feel the same... always self-concious about what people think. Especially since I'm young (everyone thinks I'm 16 or so...) and not to even have my enggement ring makes me feel like people are looking at me weird. I am technically an un-wed mother, but we are engaged and thats really all that matters....I'm married in my heart.

Mine just had to come off too and I feel naked!!

Our anniversary is on Sat. and I hate to have it off at that time. Maybe I will put it on a necklace so I can still have it close. I love my ring too - note quite custom made, but my dh was custom made for me so I guess that is close :D

I was sad too and had to take them off around 23 week as well. I still take my rings out to look at them-they actually fit my pinky! At this point my fingers feel like sausages and I am relieved to have nothing touching me!

I had to take mine off at around 28 weeks. I was soo sad because I never take it off. It stands for soo much to me more that just commitment to my Dh, but how much I cherish him and love him and how I promise so much to him. But with not wearing I still feel the same, so I'm adjusting to not having it on my finger. I love, cherish, and promise everything to him still. So it's just a symbol after all I guess. But I still love my ring and can't wait to get it back on and feel that powerful feeling again.

mine came off around 31-32 weeks or so (the day of my baby shower - I had to take them off that night) and I wore them on a chain around my neck until about 3 weeks or so PP when they fit again!

I had to take mine off two weeks ago! I hated it, mine is an antique from India and I love it. I too look really young for my 31 yrs! Most people guess me to be about 18 if I am lucky. So walking around with this big belly and no rings feels so weird.

i hated that day. I asked DH to go to steinmart and buy me a cheapie fake band I could wear instead b/c I couldn't handle the idea of a naked finger or looking like an unwed mother (sorry, I'm old fashioned like that). So he bought me a super duper cz band 4 sizes (!) bigger than my real one (b/c that's all that would fit me). Now that I've had the babies and can wear my real band again, we still joke about my $7.95 wedding band : )

I hated that, too. I couldn't put them back on till the girls were 3mos old.

I wore mine around on a chain for awhile but one day in the elevator a lady noticed that my rings were hanging from the back of my neck in plain sight. I'd just come from an NST where I was laying on my back so they fell out of my shirt and down. She mentioned that anyone seeing those could just reach out and snatch them!

I was really paranoid after that so I locked them in the safe for 7mos!!
