What do you think about an Easter Egg Hunt and an egg bday cake and the Little People Easter stuff?

My twins are boy/girl and I do not know if it will be too girly? I guess I should add that they will be 2!!!! Oh me oh my!!!! How did that happen?!?!? [IMG] (Since my lilly pie seems to be messed up!) What do you think?
    Thanks for the input!

I think that's a really cute idea! To make it a little more boyish you can do the cake in pastel blue/green/yellow instead of purple/pink. I don't think the kids will even notice that the colors might be a bit on the girly side.

What a great idea for their b-day. I love the fisher price little people easter stuff, it is so cute. I also do not think it is too girly.

My oldest son's birthday often lands in close proximity to Easter.

Years when it's really close, we host Easter here for both sides of the family, and throw his birthday party in with it, since half the family has to drive 90 minutes to get here and we didn't want everybody having to gather two weekends in a row.

At age 1, I think it would be nice to combine Easter and their birthday. However, as they get older, I think it's good to let them choose their birthday theme, even if it's close to Easter again. With Jackson, while the dinner plates were decorated for Easter, his cake and dessert plates were the theme he wanted.

I don't think it is girly at all, they are 2!

A little side note, Kyle likes princesses almost as much as K. Nana took us to Friendly's for dinner the other night and we were looking through the cake book. We came across the princess one and Kyle asked this other little boy who was looking with us who his favorite princess was? The boy replied "I don't like princesses, I am a boy, boys don't like princesses". Kyle was flabbergasted. Of course he has every right to have a favorite princess!

Anyway, my point is.........they will only think it is girly if someone tells them it is. They certainly weren't born thinking boy=blue and girl=pink.

P.S. I think you have to get a new ticker for every year, looks like it is working but it only counts to one year and you have obviously surpassed that.

Oh Dianne that cracks me up!! [IMG] Brayden has to take his baby doll with him anytime we go anywhere to. [IMG] Just like Hailey & Skylar, but he has to have his ball in the other hand!!! It is the funniest, yet cutest thing you ever did see! [IMG] When I was asking about girly, I was meaning more the Easter colors more than anything. But I think I have a solution! I am going to make the Bunny Rabbit Coconut cake!!! you know, the one made out of 2 round cake pans? [IMG] Problem solved. [IMG]

Sounds like a perfect solution! I knew what you meant, just makes me sad to see my poor boy facing peer pressure because of his lack of knowledge of the boy/girl imaginary lines and wanted to try to avoid that for others. Why do they have to grow up [IMG]?
