I just need a hug

Today was a bad day. Definitely did not earn myself any awards today. The boys are really pushing buttons and they've started sticking their tongues out and Izak even hit me today. I just really feel defeated and discouraged. And if one more person says to me at the store, "oh wow, you really have your hands full", I just might pop them one.

I lost my father nine years ago today so I'm sure that has something to do with it, along with the other dozens of things stretching me to the limits.

I just wish this was a tad bit easier .... I know it won't be like this for long (pretty sure that's a song) but today was a hard day and I just need a hug.

Hang in there. It does get easier. But sad anniversaries overwhelm me too. It's been thirteen years since my dad died and I still find myself a little extra sad around the day... And a little less patient.

 

:hug: I agree with Tricia, when those anniversary dates come around, those days are tough. Jan 2013 will be the 3rd anniversary of my father's death and I know that week of his death is just a tough week for me. My nerves are frayed, I have little patience and I try my best not to be sad around the kids, it's tough. I hope today is a better day for you :hug:

Thanks everyone for the hugs! And for the song to bring me back to reality! We are trying a new "system" to see if that works with the discipline because it seems as though we've hit a patch where the TO's aren't really effective. Hoping that eases some of the tension!
