I hope she comes in the next week!

I am now 39 weeks plus. Last time I was checked was at 37 weeks and nothing had changed. I will have another cervix check at my 40 week appointment Tuesday next week. I'm really hoping to go into natural labor before the 16th, because that is when the repeat c-section will be scheduled for. I would love to be able to VBAC before then. Alas, nothing is really happening except for some Braxton Hicks.

I've tried pineapple, spicy foods, Primrose Oil, sex...pretty much everything but Castor Oil, not sure I can gut that.

Anyways, just wanted to update!

 

Keeping my fingers crossed for you to go on your own. I will be 38 weeks on tues and i delivered the twins at 38 weeks and 4 days
so that will be weird to go past that day. hope its soon for both of us

 

Oh Pam, I totally understand that frustration. I hope that little girl comes on her own.

I was where you are a few months back. I tried EVERYTHING, including the horrible never ever doing it again , castor oil. And my extremely stubborn little girl didn't want to come out and play.Even after my waters broke, I still had to be given pitocen to get contractions going.And that was almost 48 hours later. You'd think the more children we have the easier and quicker it would happen. Just goes to show that every pregnancy is completely differant.

I really hope you had that baby already!!! I really hate to hear of supposed 'pro-vbac' doctors setting a deadline of 40 weeks when they know full well 50% of women will not go into labor by then. I think truly pro-vbac docs will allow a patient to go until at least 41 weeks... preferabably 42 until they demand a c/s.
