Yikes, I have to give up control tomorrow. I have been keeping track of every feeding, nap, poop, etc. for 7 months now. My book runs out tomorrow. Part of me is kind of happy because every day is pretty much like the day before. However, the other part of me is worried about not remembering who pooped and how much so and so ate. I also keep a journal and will write things in it. Is anyone else a control freak???

You can always keep a looser type journal. Just make notes and then wean yourself off that way [IMG]

I started that way, but got over it quickly!

Just gave up ours TODAY and my girls are 13 months old today.

You are not alone. I will keep a looser journal now, that still marks down new foods eaten and milestones since I haven't been able to keep up with their books.

    I am still keeping track.

We made a spreadsheet and print it out as needed. We'll be stopping soon, too.

We ran out of room in our book, too. I got a dry erase board to mark when they ate, though, because if DH leeaves to go somewhere and I don't know when they ate last, I hate just guessing.

I only keep track of how often James poops, he seems to get constipated easily, other than that I'm a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of gal.

My DH started using a small white board on our fridge. We actually have a picture of it (my sister thought me might like to add it to our scrapbook [IMG])

I have a dog-earred post-it note for milestones (the ones I remember) and that is about it!

I say take the freedom from the journal and run with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep a post it note handy for milestones. I also scrapbook, but I'm behind on it - not bad, I'm just finishing the birthing pages! [IMG]

I never really gave any thought to writing all of those things down. Good for you for keeping at it this long. [IMG]I'm with the other pp's, go with the freedom!

We're on our 3rd one (smally lined notebook) at 9 months and I won't give it up any time soon. I LIKE writing things in there daily. It's fun to look back and see what was going on. I keep a separate journal for the girls that's more of a letter to them over time. I was a big journaler so it's something I do for me and hopefully they will appreciate it someday.
