So i just have to brag because I'm so excited. My husband left for a month when the boys were three weeks old. It was the longest month ever, getting more than 3 hours a sleep at a time was exciting and i was begging friends to come over to spend the night here and there. My husband jokingly said i want them sleeping through the night by time i get home. Well he got back last week and for the last four or five nights they have been sleeping anywhere from 7 to 11 hours. Its amazing what a few weeks will do, very exciting for our household, I'm sure a few more weeks of this and I'll feel like a whole new person. I"m just hoping they don't revert back to their old tricks.

Not to be a downer, but don't be disappointed with them if they do have periods where they no longer sleep through the night (teething, growth spirt hunger...) They are ever changing little people! Mine are getting very close to a year and I can't count how many changes we have gone through!!

Merry Christmas and enjoy year one - it is very exciting.

Hi, this is my first time posting. My boys were born on the 17th of October so they are the same age as yours. Mine are not even close to that and I was wondering what their daily schedule looks like and if you have any tips. Also what gestational age were yours born at, Just curious.

Well these two are number 3 & 4 for me so I've learned a few tricks along the way. During the day i don't have them on a schedule, with two preschoolers things change every day. However in the evening as soon as dinner is over we wake them up and keep them up for a few hours, they have also started cluster feeding to store up. Also from day one home from the hospital they slept in their own room. Mostly because I'm a very light sleeper, but also because we think it helps with them being able to soothe themselves. If they wake up and fuss a bit we don't hear them and get them up like we would if they were in our room, we only get up if they are really "awake". They were also 39 weeks gestation so pretty much full term. Good Luck to you, hopefully it won't be much longer, I've been very blessed my kids slept through the night at six weeks, three months, and now two months. I have a theory, if both or one of the parents doesn't need that much sleep it takes longer to get your kids to STTN. My husband and I are both big sleepers.

Thanks for the info. I am actually glad to hear you don't have a schedule, because I've tried and it is not working. My boys were born at 35 weeks so technically your babies are 4 weeks older than mine. Hopefully it will happen soon. I try not to wake up for their every sound, but we live in an apartment and I don't want to disturb the neighbors. I guess I should just get over it or I may never sleep.
