I Have My Induction Date!

We did our biophysical profile and checkup yesterday and doc said....

babies are doing awsome.

both are head down and wayyyy down and ready to go.

i am dilated 1cm and 50%effaced.

they meausre about 6.5lbs and 5.5lbs.

i will be 37 weeks on tuesday so they are inducing me on that day.

i get admitted on monday, spend the night and will have my boys the following day.

i'm scared of the induction. i wonder how long an induction lasts....

i hope to get through okay.

my doula will be a good support.

and that's my update....excited and nervous all at the same time.

 

How exciting!! you are going to meet your little ones in NO TIME!!! My DW had an induction at 37 weeks (with a singleton) and she was 3cm dilated and her labour lasted 15 hours. She was induced at 8:30pm, water was broke at 12:30, epidural at 1:30 and Grifyn was born at 11:00am the next morning.

There is nothing to worry about an induction....its hard because its the unknown but know that you get to see your babies so soon!

Congrats to you. I had an induction with a singleton 9 yrs ago.. I was admitted @ 7:30am and I had my son at 1am the following day.. It was not too bad.. I am sure you will do fine.. Best wishes to you..

 

I was induced once... Just get the pain meds ASAP! I started Pit at 11am had him at 10pm! Your babies will be out soon!

Congrats and good luck! Induction is not too bad and the length depends on how ready your body is to begin with, the more effaced & dilated you are etc going into it, the quicker it will go. Look forward to your birth story next week! :yahoo:

I was induced with the twins but was already 4 1/2 cm when I arrived (w/o going into labor). They had me hooked up at 6 am, broke my water at 8 am (when I was 5 1/2 cm) and got the epi right after, and I was fully dilated 2 hours later, pushed 4 times for A, once for B (breech extraction) and there were out, 4 minutes apart.

 

How exciting for you that you will meet your babies soon. I too was induced and thought I would have my babies the next day. My body and babies had different plans and all went very well. Just be aware that it can take a while for some women. Your doula should be great support. I had one too.

Congrats on your date! I was somewhat induced with my last singleton, labor wasn't progressing, and it was fine and the epi was fine too LOL! Can't wait to hear all about it and see pics of your precious new babes!

 

we were induced with the twins at 38 weeks and 4 days, we got in at 7am and by 6pm we were eating dinner and the babies were both sleeping in the room with us.
Had a epidural babies were born 9 minutes apart.
