I am so proud of my son it took him a few days of bottomless to potty train and then about a week to adjust to wearing pants and underwear. But now he does great. He goes on the potty when he decides to go and lets me know (I have to help him make sure he's pointed down and help him sit on the big potty as I don't want to use the little one anymore). He is dry during naps and has been since the third day of training with the exception of the days he decided he didn't want to nap (there were 2 or 3 of those days) and for the past two days he has woken in the morning with a dry diaper. As soon as I get his mat for on his bed for the just in case accident he will be diaper free (I ordered the mat just waiting for it to come in). I am so proud of my son and knew he was ready. It was so easy and much easier than trying to train either one of my girls.

I am a very proud mom and so glad I don't have to change anymore of his diapers. He also loves showing off his Thomas underwear and telling everyone he pees and poops on the potty.

Congrats on having such success. I am in the middle of training Brandon. Once I can convince him to poop on the potty I think we will be awake trained. I hold very little hope for staying dry asleep for many more years (if he follows in his nearly 5yo twin brothers still not night trained footsteps at least).

Letting him wear his Thomas underwear was a big motivater for him. We also bought him a Thomas movie (it has I think 30 10min shows so we let him watch that when he was going on the potty on his own). We also got him his very first Thomas the Train which he carries around with him everywhere (I did take it away when he wet himself and didn't attempt to go to the bathroom, when he was standing right next to it so the next time he tried harder and made sure he got his Thomas back). Charts, sticker, nor treats worked for him but Thomas did. I knew he was ready but he did need to have a little motivater since I think he was scared to go with out diapers.

What she said! I dont think mine is ever gonna be ready. He's so wishy washy. Sometimes he is happy to go and other times he will cry if I take him. ? ;) He's the only one of my kids who hasnt been ready when I thought, and is taking longer than a month or so, to get with the program. The preschool he's in will only train in underwear, so Im about to bite the bullet, as soon as I can get like 50 outfits together to take to school, b/c I fully expect him to pee in them ALL Day! The fact that his twin sister is pt'd and in the next room up hasnt even phased him yet. . (but this just happened)
