I have a date for induction!

So I had one of my bi-weekly appointments today and I am now 5 1/2- 6 cm dilated!!! That is the size of a small/medium orange! Anyway I have an appointment on Monday for an aminio to check the babies lung maturity. If everything is okay I have an appointment Wednesday Morning 8:00am for induction. I will be 36 weeks and 5 days on Wednesday. I am positive it their lungs will be mature- I already had the steriod shot and the babies should be at or over 6lbs. They also added a growth scan onto the aminio test monday to check their weights. I guess if they are not mature I am being admitted. I do have to say as much as my mother is driving me CRAZY. I really do not want to be home alone anymore. Especially with a three year old. My husband has to work all weekend. I know great timing but I rather him work Easter than Christmas. It's not like I am going anywhere.

I still can not believe I am over 5 cm dilated and home. Oh yeah I am also measuring at 46 weeks pregnant. My stomach is SO HUGE!!!

Wow, 5-6 cm and still at home, thats interesting. It's funny different docs do so many different things. My doc hasn't checked me since I was at 3cm in triage(1 month ago). He said next Wed. Maybe we will miss the huge bellys, but I would like to go to target without using a electric scooter.
Good luck with the induction, you may not need it as close as you are.

Yeah, it is funny how docs do different things. I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and he has yet to check to see if I'm dilated! <_<

I'm sending lots of positive thoughts and vibes your way for healthy babies! Hope your recovery is speedy too!

 

I know I chimed in before and told you i was 5 & 100% effaced when I went in for induction. My doc stopped measuring when my tummy reached 45cm. I know your pain.
I really hope your labor goes quick & smooth- you're more than halfway there!

Wow...I can't believe you are home at 5-6cm--and not dealing with uncomfortable contractions! Good for you! Best of luck to you & those little ones---you'll be meeting them so soon!

LOL...measuring @ 46 weeks. I know the feeling!! At my 37 week appointment, I was measuring at 47 weeks! Whoa. Our little guys' will be here on Monday 4/13---so I guess I won't make it to the big "50" week mark. Woo Hoo!

 

I was measuring 42 weeks at my 31 week appt so I don't know how much I'm measuring now...

Wow, you've dialted a lot without even knowing it! You didn't feel anything? The Dr. just told you???

WOW I always THOUGHT I was dialated that far at home but when I got to the hospital each prgnancy, the most I ever was was a 2 and I think they just told me that to make me feel better because I had been in labor all night and JUST KNEW I was at least an 8!!!! By Tuesday you are liable to be an 8!!! most of your work will be done before you even start!! way to go momma!!
