I have 5 year old twins! How did that happen?

Sullivan and Finley are 5 years old today! I just cannot believe it! I remember being a new mom to twins and thinking I could not even imagine being in this forum...5-11 year old twins? That seemed like a lifetime away...and now, here I am. My baby boys are 5! Complete craziness.

But they sure are excited! Sullivan even announced it to the cashier at the grocery store yesterday! :laughing:

I still wonder that myself! I remember when I had the boys...and thinking, back in 2007, that 2013-start of Kindergarten, was light years away! And...it's here. :cry: Lol!

Happy Birthday Finley and Sullivan!! It's so cute how excited they get about their birthdays now too! Anthony will go up to anyone with his hand spread high in the air, "we're FIVE now!" :laughing:

I am pretty sure every birthday is like that for me!!! My boys turn 7 in 3 weeks. 7!!!! And my daughter is 1.5 years away from being 10. I know I shouldn't think that far ahead (it drives my DH crazy that I do that!), but 10?? My baby girl??! I feel like I'm not getting older (yeah, very delusional!), why are my kids getting older??!

I remember five years ago… being pregnant with twins… getting to know a lot of ladies on TS and it hitting me hard when all of you started having your babies over the holidays…that I was having TWO at the same time in a few months… I was going to be posting my birth story like a lot of you now were doing… and when I had to put my dudes on the school kindergarten list (yes I had to do this pregnant to get their spot when we lived in LA) ….thinking 2013 sounded like a science fiction movie… and now here we are…

My oldest is in HS… BUT that’s a post in a different forum :shok:

Happy 5th Birthday. Time certainly does go by quickly. It seems like my kids were just babies and now they are in Kindergarten!

 

Awww! Happy birthday! My boys are so excited about being half way to five years old. They know that when they turn five, only a couple of weeks later, they'll be in Kindergarten. I still can't believe it! KINDERGARTEN! Elementary school is literally just around the corner. I am going to be registering them this week and I still can't believe I am a mother of twin babies much less 4-1/2 year old babies. I often check myself to see if I still have a pulse when I think about it.

5 years old is big. It's a milestone because it means the start of a whole new and long-term experience of long-term friends, BFFs, after school activities, homework, girl/boyfriends, tooth fairies, is Santa real?, Can I have a pet?, How is a baby made?, Why is there so much blood in my undies?!?, That's not my pot!!, I got a D on my paper because I forgot to read the book, I got an A!!! WOOHOO!, can I stay up just 5 more minutes?, but his mommy lets him!!, .....I could go on. So many questions and big events and other unexpected things we are all going to have to prepare for. Yep! 5 years old is the start of some big things to happen.
