because you are exhausted, and get all settled in and comfy, and start to drift off, and "WHAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" One wakes up, so you put the nuk in, and they look like they are getting sleepy, so you lay back down, get comfy, drift off, and "WHHAAAAAHHHH!" Up again, you are just WILLING your baby to go to sleep because you are so tired, lay down, then the OTHER one wakes up crying ... and there is no hope. Makes you just feel even more tired because you started to drift off ... and now it'll be awhile for the next nap and I was going to shower then.

This is going to be me if I don't catch a nap today ... :umm: or a shower, his hair looks like mine right now.

I know what you are say there except I live in a small comunity and everyone knows when the girls nap there time has never changed and everyone will wait till I lay the girls down and settle in my self and there the phone rings or someone comes nocking on the door.

I just want people to go away when its nap time......

Happens here all the time If it isnt a baby waking up, its my 3 year old banging on his door, someone ringing the doorbell or someone calling when they have been told hundreds of times to not bother me from noon-3.

My babies take great naps UNLESS I try to nap too! Then, one of them always wakes up early. Even if they're just talking in their crib, I cant sleep through that. I have a 3-yr old too and always put them down for naps together in the afternoon, but its the same thing. If I try to nap, as soon as I fall asleep one wakes up and then I'm more tired than I was before. I know its gonna happen before I lay down, but sometimes I try to nap anyway. It's like they know I'm trying to nap! So, I've just about given up on naps!

Haha...that just happeened here! Took me 10 minutes to doze then I hear one screaming! Go in and check on her and she's back asleep. Tried to settle back down then the other wakes up. I should have learned by now it doesn't work but every now and again I just have to try...I'm soooo tired. :umm:

Its always when you put them down for a nap that the doorbell goes and i have 2 big dogs that love to bark! Then when you answer it it is some stupid person selling something , you want to smack them. Its a nightmare. I hope you get a nap soon x

That's why I simply don't attempt to take a nap, because it really brings me to tears. :(

This just happened to me and has been an ongoing thing too. I swear they have some sort of baby radar in them somewhere that says, "ok, mom is comfy, it's time!" Hope things settle down for you soon and you get a nap! :)

And I thought it was just my kids. the twins haven't started this, and it may be foolish to hope that they won't, but my older 3 did that to me all the time! even when they had an established nap every day. I would put them down, straighten things up for a few mins, and lay down for a nap, and as soon as I was relaxed they'd scream. it was insane because if I wasn't trying to relax they'd sleep for a good 2-3 hours! I swear my kids are only relaxed if I'm tense. maybe that's why the twins sleep so well? *sigh* here's some hugs :hug99: and I hope they'll let you nap tomorrow! :)
