Okay so I've lost all of the pregnancy weight (I still have some to lose to get to my ideal weight) now I have all this extra skin. I am still wearing my small maternity clothes. The problem is they are too big, they fall off when I walk. (This one time happened while I was holding both babies, and I couldn't pull them up, my BIL was here  ) Anyway what do you wear?? I don't want to be stuck wearing elastic waist pants forever. I know I need a tummy tuck, but I would like to have another baby before that. And until then I would like to find some pants that fit (without a huge hanging flap TMI I know).

I hate my twin skin soooooooo much! My tummy is actually flat and all my prepregnancy clothes are too big-I did a great job losing all the weight-I weigh what I weighed before I got pregnant with dd#1 ! This just isnt fair! My tummy just got stretched beyond belief and now I have this gross wrinkly loose skin that I am so annoyed with!
The other day my shirt came up a bit when my 4yo wanted me to lift her up and I was horrified that anyone may have caught a glimps of that!
I fully intend on a tummy tuck!
I can say that is has slowly gotten a little better but I am coming to the conclusion that is never fully goes away....it would be great if someone would come on here and tell me that is can! Anyone? Anyone? (crickets)

I have a full fledged twin flap! I absolutely HATE IT!!!
I have no idea what to do with it and can not afford a tummy tuck. When I wear jeans it makes me think of the old joke about "moose knuckles" (as opposed to camel toes...)
If anyone comes up with a response to this poster's question, I would be very interested as well.

Girl!!! You & me both. I haven't even lost all of my weight yet, but I know it will just look worse the flatter my stomach gets. I am still hoping to have a few more kids, so I can't get a tummy tuck yet, I NEED one though to get rid of it. I absolutely HATE it.

I know what you mean I still have 67 lbs. to get down to my ideal weight and it is bad!! I completely gross myself out and hate looking in the mirror naked <_< On top of that I do not have a whole inch of skin without stretch marks on it...YUCK

I had to wear plus sizes all of last year - I was overweight and had extra skin too though I didn't only have extra skin. The plus sized clothes were all that fit and didn't hug the extra skin.

Now doing weight watchers and working out on a regular basis have really helped me get rid of the extra skin - I still have some, but not nearly like what I had. I think I'll probably always have a little bit but now you can't tell with clothes on.

My stomach looks flat standing up (as long as I haven't just eaten, because my stomach muscles aren't strong enough/healed enough to hold back the intestines - side affect from diastisis recti). So when I wake up in the morning it's ahhh, flat stomach. And then goes downhill as the day goes on. But you can't tell in my normal clothes. I may even be able to wear a 2 piece bathing suit (if I could get over the stretch marks and the fact that my belly button no longer looks normal)...and if it weren't for the fact I'd have to sit down in it. When it comes to sitting down that's a whole other story. My loose skin falls into the gaping hole in my stomach like a V (permanent separation, by the way). And most of my tops are slimmer fitting - which again, fine standing up. But when I sit down the skin looks like a big fat roll. I too now get really self conscious about this or when my shirt rides up when I lift a baby up or something. It's depressing, because I think this is as good as it's going to get and I'm afraid of what another pregnancy would do.

They should really tell you these things in advance, not that there's anything I could have done or would have done differently. But I've seen so many others go back to normal after pregnancy, and I see lots of moms with kids on the beach in their bathing suits and they look fine. I had no idea I wouldn't look the same after. And moms of singletons - just like they don't know what it's like to raise twins - also don't know what it's like to be pregnant with and the after affect on your body. If I tell one they'll be like "really?!"

You know that thing.. the bella band? [this is what I got: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...okstorenow85-20 ]

It's made for pregnant woman who's clothes don't fit them anymore, but aren't big enough to wear maternity clothes. Well, I purchased one of these AFTER my pregnancy, lol. I wear it when I'm wearing jeans [pants that are not elastic]. I either wear it tucked under my jeans [to keep the flap from hanging out - or people seeing it] OR I put is over my jeans [how you're supposed to wear it] that I can't quite button up because of the flab/skin/flap - whatever you wanna call it.

I have 8-10 lbs left to lose and I swear up and down that the twin skin is a reason for some of it, lol. I'm 5'5" and normally 118-121 lbs.. I'm hovering at 129-131 lbs. I've lost ALL the prego weight so I have this concentrated twin skin area that absolutely bugs the crap out of me..

It's great to vent. Too bad it won't pay for the tummy tuck

P.S. I've just started doing crunches the other day.. and boy are my abs SORE, lol. I'm so outta shape

    I can so relate.

If I ever got a TT it would be when my kids were more independent adn it wouldn't be a hardship to not lift them for a few weeks. I am still a long way from there.

I have some great Ann Taylor Loft jeans that fit great. They squish down my flap when I tuck it in so it's not so bad. I do thik I would be at least 1-2 sizes smaller after getting rid of the extra tuckable skin I'm carrying around with me.

TBH, I have not had a problem finding regular pants to fit. They just have to be about 1 size bigger than normal to accomidate the extra skin. I also make sure my shirt is long enough so I can raise my arms without fear of "the skin" flopping out and scaring those around me.

I've lost the pregnancy weight but my body composition is definately way MORE FAT than before. Same as you, maternity clothes are too big but my pre-preggo clothes don't fit b/c of the extra skin. Putting on my old jeans is a joke, my skin hangs over them so bad.. uggg..

anyway, I ended up buying pants a size larger than normal for work and they fit okay. other than that I wear only sweatpants :)

i found that i had to buy jeans with a deeper rise to deal with the twin skin, but i'm able to wear my pre-pregnancy size. basically i look for pants that sit at my belly button, or just slightly below, rather than low rise styles. to avoid the "mom-jean" look though, i always get dark wash & straight leg. avoid the taper!!!! ;)

I second the bella band- It is excellent! It is really comfortable and then you can wear your pants lower and this keeps your stomach from getting exposed, etc..

I weigh less now then I did with my first DS, but I totally have twin skin. It makes me so mad because the more weight I lose, the worse it gets. My totally saggy boobs and gross stretch marks don't help the matter either. Like a pp said I buy pants that sit and my belly button, no low rise for me anymore. The pants help keep everything tucked in and slim. I buy ones that flare at the bottom...they don't look like mom jeans at all. I wish I would have know this would happen before I had the babies, just so I could have prepared myself for saggy belly skin!

I live in Spanx pants. They're $72, but you can wash them at home, they travel great as they don't wrinkle, and I've had the same pair for years. I wear them with t-shirts for a sporty look and with a blazer at work and it looks like a suit. Spanx pants

I also wear my Bella Bands under clothes to keep my twin skin looking sleek! I wore them just after my c-section and the compression was wonderful.

Got the belly "hang" and while I wear spanx if I am in dress pants (wear reg. pants I have then), I went and got jeans from the Gap with a little lycra in them and they work great. (also back to orig. weight pre-twins). Looking forward to one day getting it removed!!
