I seriously hate naps....I NEVER get any peace or a break. Either one only goes down for 10 min while the other sleeps an hour or vice versa. Today they are TOTALLY refusing to even take a nap. They've been up since 6:30 and I put them down at 9am because they were fussy and seemed tired. they have been screaming for 45 min. What do I do? Should I drop to one nap a day? I'm SO frustrated!!!!!!!!!!! UGH.

I would try to get them to nap at the same time. See if one can wait a little longer to take a nap. It's so worth it to have a nap schedule where they are both in sync .

 We went through an awful nap spell at 10 months. It is very and hard and patience testing. Just hang in there. They will go back to their 2 naps a day at some point. They are too young for one nap. Sometimes at that age I would just take them in the car in the morning for their nap. It made me much happier to drive and drink coffee. I just had to get out of the house and quit fighting the nap. I hope they ease up on your soon!

No, I would say it's too early to drop to 1 nap yet. I would let them fuss/CIO it out. That's what we had to do with ours until they learned that when we put them in the crib and shut the bedroom door it's time to rest. It took them about a week to realize that I wasn't going back in there to get them.
I know it's hard and VERY frustrating! Ours have been protesting their morning naps now for a week. I leave them in the bedroom in their cribs for an hour if they haven't fallen asleep by then I go get them up. Then they take their afternoon nap.

    Good Luck!

I think it is too early to drop to one nap. I would start putting them in their cribs for one hour at the same time every single morning. If they fuss the entire hour, you can get them up after that. If they are asleep let them sleep. I tend to take a shower at this time, so I don't have to listen to them cry! They are usually asleep by the time I get out of the shower. They will figure it out. You need a break, and they need sleep!

ahh, thank you everyone for reassuring me that they still need 2 naps a day as difficult as it is! It's just hard when the SCREAM forever. They did finally fall asleep and are both snoring away right now...we'll see for how long they stay asleep! I just need to turn the monitor off when I put them down...I swear that thing makes my blood pressure go through the roof!

Oooh..one more question. If one wakes up before the other so you just leave him in there to cry even if he only took a 10 min nap or do you get him so as not to wake the other one?
    Thanks!

I have the same feeling somedays! We just quit swaddling, well we only wrap a blanket around their waists. Anyway, my DH was with them on Sat. am and just let them CIO! Have you tried CIO? I know everyone has their own opinions about it. I too try to put them down at the same time and sometimes have to go in several times to soothe! Big hugs your way, I hope it gets better real soon!!!!!
