I have always been a 32B and I recently bought a couple 36C bras thinking that would give me plenty of growing room, however not the case...I have already out grown them, I feel like they are literally cutting off circulation! What do I need to buy so that I can be comfy...40? 42? I also think the underwire is going to have to go too...right?
How big did your rib cage get?

Mine have grown one band size. Some craft places have band extenders--I got one of those and it's helped keep some of my bras going a little longer.

I've been going to physical therapy for some pregnancy related issues, and my physical therapist said that you can help your ribs learn to keep contracting and expanding (so that they contract more, especially after the babies are born) by putting your hands on your rib cage, feeling your rib cage expand as you inhale, and very gently pressing inwards as you exhale. Don't know if that would help you or not, but it might be worth a try!

Bras were the worst! I had to buy nursing bras because I could not wear reg bras with underwire. It dug into me!

I'm in the same boat...I've always been large chested (but small around) 32 D but since getting preggy I'm at a 38 or 40 D, I'm currently 30 weeks 5 days....how much bigger should I expect to get, and if I buy nursing bras should I still buy them this big around?? I have gained 40 lbs so far...I'm hoping from here on out I'll only gain the weight that the boys are putting on. :p

I went from a 38C to a 42D and the underwire hurts my underarms all the time. i think maybe i just got the wrong type, but i still have 4 and half more months so im wondering if im going to be into an even bigger size, just test them out, but i would say no underwire, at least it kills me

I was a 34D. Now I am a 36E, in Mimi Maternity bras that are sooo comfy!! They have underwires too and it doesn't seem to bother me at all. I got one in tan and in black. :)

I did a few things to help:

    1) buy bras without underwire.
    2) buy a bra extender (sold at maternity clothes stores)
    3) wear sports bras (I liked sleeping in these especially since my breasts were sore all the time)

I have to third the suggestion for the BRA EXTENDERS !! I only wish I had purchased more of them. They have two and three prong extenders and they were 1.50 at Motherhood maternity I think ? I was still able to use some of my old bras. I also found one nursing bra from Target that you can remove the underwire -- which I've heard you shouldn't have underwire if you are breastfeeding since it can block ducts. I had one bra that I cut out the underwire ---- ahhhhhh much better.
