I HATE FIREWORKS!

don't get me wrong... i love a nice, professional fireworks display. but i HATE the stupid fireworks that peope waste their money on and blow off in their backyards at all hours of the day/night. i can understand july 4th... but it's been going on all summer. especially the last few days, and it's only going to get worse. it's loud, and it's waking up my girls! i don't know what to do! and when friday hits, i have NO IDEA how i'm gonna put them to bed. their bedroom faces the back, adn the people back there blow fireworks off for HOURS on 4th of july. what can i do?

 

:hug99: I think people are only allowed a certain noise level later at night. If this is going on late into the night, I would report it. Sorry you have to deal with this.

 

Just wanted to say I agree with you, but don't have an answer. I will be turning up the sound machine in Max & Lily's room this week.

We have a moron a few houses down that blows off those cherry bomb ones that shake your house and he does this til 2am the week of 4th of July. It is so bad we have to give our dog tranquilizers because it scares him so bad.

I don't have any suggestions. Luckily my two have been sleeping right through them. I have been turning their fan up a little more the last few nights for some extra noise ~ not sure if that's been helping or not though.

The worse thing I hate since I moved into this apt is that I live right off the river and kids across the river like to throw M80's into it. It echoes and it's so freaking loud!! I was sleeping when one went off last year at like 3am, woke me up in a panic.

 

We had that problem with a certain crowd of unruly neighbors last year. Anytime they went off after 10 p.m., I called the police. There's just no need, and most times it was on a weeknight!

We also have a white noise machine in the girls' room, so like PP, I turn it up a couple of notches.

 

I HATE fireworks too! Since we're in Florida we get it twice a year. The week of New Years and this week. Luckily they haven't started yet, but I remember last year being super annoyed and I didn't even have the kids then. The worst part is I can't tell where they are being set off, so I can't call the cops. Sometimes the loud ones are on the other side of the neighborhood, but they are still really loud. We live at the entrance of our neighborhood, so our boys can sleep through all of the bass pumping so loud our windows rattle. Hopefully they will do okay this week. We're leaving town the 7th so at least I don't have to worry about next week.

 

No suggestions, just to say that we are dealing with the SAME thing, I too understand 4th of July weekend but like you it ALL The time! Weekends, weekday- and we DID call the police and they said that unless we know exactly where it's coming from ( and how can we since our neighborhood is very large) they really can't do anything

OMG!!!! I am sooo sorry that people are so inconsiderate. Now OMG... again. I forgot about fireworks. So far so good. I live outside of town, and my neighbors have so far been quiet. My DSD's birthday was last week and my oldest DD's birthday is the 5th of July. My mom was here visiting from out of state, and being sleep deprived as it is, I completely forgot about fireworks! LOL... not the 4th, just the fireworks! I hope things get better for you and everyone else having issues with neighbors during this very noisy holiday!
