I Hate Diaper Rash

My poor little Becca has a touched of diarhea which has caused her tohave diaper rash. I hate it. I dread changing her diaper. As soon as I tell her it's time she starts crying it tears me up. I have tried everything to make it not hurt so much, nothing works. Just venting, but I feel so bad for her.

 

We just got over almost 14 days of yeast diaper rash. It's bad stuff. I feel bad- their little bums hurt so bad. Make sure to not wipe- but dab, use baby wash cloths with water, and a mix of bottom creams- we used many many many tubes. HOpe it gets better.

 

It is a little more expensive, but we've found that pure lanolin works best for diaper rash. We've tried all sorts of diaper rash creams and ointments and pure lanolin gave us the quickest results!

 

I LOVE Triple Paste. I have been able to find it at TRU, Target, Walmart. It is a bit $$, but it works wonders on a rash. I only use it when they have a rash. It's thick so you don't need a lot. It's what I have found works the best so far.

 

Call your dr & ask if they'll give you a prescription for Lantiseptic. It's a lanolin based product that's AWESOME!!!

 

I'm sorry. I hate it when they get diaper rash because they are just sooo miserable and you feel helpless!

i too have found lanolin, lansinoh is the only one i've used, to be fantastic for diaper rash. it is soothing and healing and provides a thick barrier. if you keep it in a wipe warmer (if you have one) it is really nice and liquidy and easy to spread on. of course, it works just as well at room temp! good luck with the rash. hope it clears up soon.

 

I find drying helps (I do this even when they don't have a rash). I would either pat dry all the crevaces or blow dry them with the hair dryer. Sometimes I just let them air dry by having no diaper on for a little while - when possible. We really haven't had that many rashes at all not with my first or these two. (We did get thrush with my singleton and she got a thrush rash but as soon as the thrush was gone so was the rash.)

I know this is a dumb question, but is lanolin the cream that you use for breast feeding? I always hear people talk about it, but I'm not sure where to look at the store.

 

i hate diaper rash all you can do it cream them up. as soon as the rash begins we go straight into disposable nappies or the rash would get alot worse.

 

I'm in the same boat as you - both girl's have diaper rash and cry so hard that I have to blow in their faces to make them catch their breath. I feel so bad for them.
